Previously, for personal purchases, I always checked CupoNation for discount codes.

For corporate purchases, I used both discount codes from CupoNation and requested a quote from my LenovoPro account manager. When my LenovoPro account reached Elite status, I started receiving a 12% upfront discount, even before applying additional discount codes and final discounts from my account manager.

Now that I’m at the Elite tier, I just use the same LenovoPro account for personal purchases too. laugh.gif

So your account manager give you extra code that stack on top of code from CN?
Or just discount on warranty?

I wanted to get a newly release laptop that might not have discount code that can apply.

I'm not entirely sure how it works behind the scenes, but I've noticed that I always get a bigger discount after requesting a quote from my account manager. The price drop is definitely larger than any coupon I've used from CN

My last purchase, my account manager only discount me on warranty side.
Device no discount, but the device already has the existing discount code from Lenovo itself.
My end to reach Elite status is hard, need to buy a lot.

Another day, another reward redemption!

Getting top management to go all-in on Lenovo? Best decision ever. Now, everything we buy—from laptops to servers—is Lenovo. Zero regrets!
And the best part? The rewards stay within the IT team (which is just me and my one staff, LOL). Gotta enjoy the perks!

Original price before discounts and rewards: RM1147.18 laugh.gif

My company uses more than 80 units of Lenovo laptop.

Pro:

Nice looking laptop

Cons:
1 Quality issues, tonnes of it e.g. LCD white patches(have many units, all the white patches at same spot, thus I can't be wrong) , security chips, keypay keys came off, poor battery life.
2 Warranty issue, hard to claim warranty, even when the claim is genuine
3 Service qualities issue from Lenovo Services from their helpdesk up till their engineer, seems like they have multiple layer of approval and many more.
4 Replace mainboard but the mainboard belongs to other customers, thus not able to join the laptop to intune etc. Takes them so long to realize their mistake from time of logging a case till the replacement of mainboard for the second time.

And many more other issue.

Never encounter this issue with other services provider.

Well, maybe you have luck at your end to deal with Lenovo.

Not for me, and no more Lenovo.

Hi guys, is it possible for you to share your Lenovo account manager contact to me? Our company would like to purchase laptop from them, trying to speak to them for better deals.

Thank you!

That's interesting—my experience has been quite different. We've used Dell and HP for many years in the past, and in our case, they tended to have more issues compared to Lenovo.

With Lenovo, things have been much smoother for us, especially since we always go with the Premier Onsite Warranty instead of the standard one. The RMA process has been straightforward—they’ve never rejected a claim, usually just request a few photos, and consistently send someone over by the next working day.

Not to mention, Lenovo has consistently been more affordable. And now that they’ve introduced Lenovo Rewards—something other brands don’t offer—it adds even more value. Honestly, it's hard to justify switching to other brands that don’t reward loyalty.

agreed with his statement on the keyboard issue, somehow i feel dell got better build quality.
my organization also fully abandoned lenovo and now onboarded dell. Laptop cost are higher than before but dell can customize according the spec requirement.
Previously before any submissions to Lenovo, IT team will access if it can be justify under warranty, otherwise have to spend extra to fix it (more days too). Now with dell everything also they fix, if during service found battery getting bloated they will replace it right away too.

Lenovo Rewards for certain employees or the organization? that is red flag in company policy.
Dell do offer special deal directly on pricing.

just chat with them (either through the chatbox or whatsapp), they will assign a sales rep. get them to quote with discounts. they will send a quote which you can convert into order.

i got to buy a laptop with good discount despite the model being excluded from promos.

Exactly. That’s why we’ve exclusively stuck with Lenovo these days. We used to have account managers with Dell and HP, but their offerings never quite matched what Lenovo brings to the table. On top of that, the lack of rewards programs from Dell and HP is just another nail in the coffin.

My Thinkbook just arrived, first time purchased direct from Lenovo. Ordered on 6 May and arrived 17 May 2025.

Lenovo's estimated delivery is ok. The parcel travelled from Chongqing > Zhengzhou > Incheon > Shenzen > Samutprakarn > Shah Alam > Sepang and back to Shah Alam.
Custom clearances overseas were fast but it took UPS Malaysia 3 days to clear the customs, which causes overshoot from the delivery estimate.

After all these years, UPS (Malaysia) still hasn't improved. Haih.
