my ekyc no issue on resubmission. smooth sailing and very fast approval (few minutes, if not mistaken).

instead of waiting for us to answer, you can immediately find out by topping up shopeepay with minimal amount, like RM1 or RM10. see if the app prompt you of any fee? or any extra charge to cc after topping up.



also, you cannot "top up as much as we want" because of wallet size can only hold up to 4999/9999 at any time.

did a quick Google, someone asked before:

yah i had the same dilemma earlier to hit nearest weekend (especially after statement cycle).

then i shifted my all my mbb cc statement cycle from 8th to 3rd. now, i can repay spaylater on the nearest weekend after my statement cycle.

yes, that's why the risk & liability is with spaylater/seamoney to bear

to manage the risk, they impose lots of criteria and different sets of bnpl CL for each of us. and for merchants, they pay more fee to spaylater/seamoney.

in the end, more sales to merchant, more options/flexibility to user ... merchant & spaylater/seamoney provide the platform and credit faciilty.

for bad user with bad spaylater repayment, they get imposed more fees ...

maybe previous ekyc was incomplete (less data points) to meet BNM's requirements for this increase of wallet size.

now they are "forced" to re-ekyc again.
