Hi all.

Not that this is related with Boost, but apparently you can pay your bills using Shopee Apps now.

See below image for what you can pay bills to:

All this time, I'm paying all my bill using Boost due to it's Shake Rewards.
But now using Shopee, even better because

(1) You can use your coins
(2) You receive cashback too but via Coins

Just tried to pay my Astro bill just now. I pay RM30 and use 800 of my coins, so total amoaunt paid is only RM22. RM8 saved there and managed to receive 90 coins (RM0.90) cashback.
And to my surprise, it was updated instantly to the Astro Portal.

This is a new competitor to Boost, not to mention Bigpay also enabled the Bank Transfer with only RM0.50 fee instead of Boost RM2.
So 2 major punch to Boost in a week.

Did you use CC or ShopeePay to pay your Astro bill?

Can but subject to seller wallet (proceed from sales) or buyer wallet (refund etc)

But it is better to use credit card to pay Shopee directly so refund will go back to CC.

Thanks.
That means it is totally different compared to Boost.

Boost can be used at public areas.
ShopeePay and Lazada Wallet are limited to the respective online platforms only. Useful only if special rebate % is higher than discount codes.

Is it China rom? Or Malaysia warranty? Like xiaomi, they buy China rom and request seller to root to global rom.

hey guys,

just want to share my experience with shopee pay.

last week case

- redeemed the rm5 for first shopee pay usage.
- bought something around RM80
- thought that I would have to pay only RM75 (as the voucher is Rm5)
- topup rm75 to shopee pay
- nope, you still have to pay rm80, and the voucher Rm5 will be credited to your shopee pay account
- topup rm5 to shopee pay, paid rm80 in full.
- shopee pay - rm5 balance

today

- want to buy something for rm240
- shopee pay got rm5 balance
- topup rm235
- checkout....nope..... "you have exceeded daily transaction limit of rm200".....wtf?
- i decided to withdraw the money and use card instead
- nope...you have to provide your IC picture and selfie to upgrade shopee pay account due to security services, only then can withdraw
- I am not willing to share my IC at this moment
- called customer service (susah nak dapat today)
- long story short, you either provide IC to withdraw, or.......
- I have to topup abit, say rm5 because the CS said I have to have a minimum amount in shopee pay....wtf?
- nope...decided not to use shopee pay for payment
- proceed with providing my IC and "upgrade" shopee pay account for withdrawal
- waited around 1 hour for IC verification
- shopee pay upgraded, proceeded with providing banking details
- wait around half an hour or so
- withdraw
- not sure how long it will take, using shopee wallet in seller section, withdrawal usually took 1/2 working day/s

dissatisfaction

- why rm200 daily transaction limit?
- why the CS said need minimum balance in shopee pay?
- why shopee wallet (seller) and shopee pay (buyer) cant be linked?

I guess for a rm5 voucher, this is too much of a hassle for me.
Now I am anxiously waiting for the money to be credited to my banking account.
hopefully no hiccups.

Luckily I didn’t activate it because of the RM5 offer. There are too many eWallets in my phone.

I think RM200 limit is set for unverified account (similar to Boost's Basic Account). Once verified, you can spend up to the max wallet size.
