QUOTE(allhafiez @ Nov 6 2020, 07:05 AM) AffinOnline transaction failed.. the Bank call me asking me stupid question like what's the proof that I would use the fund for purchase of stocks instead of Forex. I told the officer that I need to transfer the fund into my trading account first before I can purchase the stock. She said the Bank had to reject the TT because it's not allowed by BNM So I tried CIMBClick again and put my Trading account and my name in the NRIC/Passport column as ss below: Luckily this time it was succesful Glad I've come across your post, was searching up and down for the "further payment details" as mentioned by investwise until I saw your post. By the way, did you try to fund more than 10k? Recently CIMB has allowed e-remittance up to 50k limit, wonder if it'll work on 3rd party. Thanks

Thanks No problem la with M2u , same limit 50k , even i max until 49,900. What you mean by 3rd Party ? just use your own online banking portal to transfer, you cant use other ppl name to transfer they wont accept.

My TDA SG account is finally approved and I want to transfer money from my Maybank account. Am I filling up the information correctly based on the images above? "Account number" is taken from the Beneficiary Under Additional Info, there isnt enough characters for me to put "further credit to...". Can someone give me some guidance???

Dear Guys,
update: so the transfer above worked. I transferred US 60.80 (RM 250) into my TDA SG account and all went in, no less. Apparently Wells Fargo seem to not have charged me the USD 25 dollar wire transfer fee. Maybe the amount was too little so there was no wire transfer fee? Has anyone experienced this?
I will continue to monitor and try transferring a larger sum.

Once money arrive in local bank, they convert using their rate (assume send usd to myr account) + some fix rate like 5 USD. But peanut if you withdrawing hundreds of thousands.

I was asking about the cost to do a TT from Malaysia into TD, from start to end.

For this objective, not via Maybank, you want to get best rate as possible. How big amount? If small dont bother just proceed.

I think you are lucky in that the flow of funds from Malaysia to TD didn't pass thru a correspondent bank that charges you processing fees. see https://expatfinance.net/international-bank...ndent-bank-fees

Now with SC putting TD in the alert list, let hope wont have issue of deposit and withdrawal.
