Hi, i open a td ameritrade account as well during MCO. I do try a lot of methods but end up using maybank to do the TT transfer. You can use cimb online to do but i found that the limit cap only at 10k max.

there is no limit if you go to the branch and fill up the form for wire transfer. your 10k limit probably cap by your ATM withdrawal limit.

How long the took to approve ur account? Mine stuck there for more than 1 month already. Email them they said still processing.

hi guys, i'm an Ameritrade user here. Open my account just last month.

I made my transfer using CIMB Clicks, under 'Foreign Telegraphic Transfer'. I got query by bank officials about the transfer. I just furnish them the info they asked for and i got my fund wired in. Will take a few days to get it cleared.

According to TDA SG customer service, you need to deposit min USD2000 to get real time data. Else, it'd show 'delayed data'.

After deducting other charges, my credited amount was USD1980 and fortunately i get access to real time data as well.

can we use cimb speedsend for the transfer ? i got rejected once.

i have no idea about speedsend as i opted for Foreign TT only.

How did you acquire their Business Registration Number? I’ve searched for it on their website but I can’t find one and I’ve emailed their representative but there’s still no reply

The staffs tend to take long time to respond to queries. Reason then was due to circuit breaker. Now they should be back to normal i guess. There's also a sharp increase in the number of applications to open an account. I applied in May 2020 and during that time they were processing applications submitted in Apr 2020.

Hello guys beside TDASG (i really dont like the fee USD10 per trade &IBKR's monthly fee) is there any other broker that we can check out on?

TDASG now introduces $0 commissions on online US stock, ETF and option trades.

Otherwise, you can use alternative brokers below:
1. Webull - $0 commission, free live quotes and no monthly fee same as TDASG.
2. Tradestation global (whitelabel of IBKR)- low commission and no monthly fee.

For remittance to TDASG, I always use online CIMBClick- ''foreign telegraphic transfer'' instead of speedsend or moneygram as both consider third party agent which is not allowed by TDASG.
Make sure you fill in the correct details at cimbclick.

Don't you need to be a US resident/Visa holder to open a Webull account?

They used to have in their help/faq section that Malaysians can open but it has disappeared now

For Malaysian, we need to open webull account via its mobile apps instead. Once the account approved, you can fund and trade at their website or mobile apps.
