Btw how important is this 60Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz?

For Illegear below, the def one is 60Hz?

if you play games often you'll appreciate high refresh rate display

Yes default is low sRGB 60Hz

Lenovo Legion Y540 price higher than Y7000 for the same spec. Is there any reason?

9th gen offer improvement in cooling and build quality, still not the best though compared to similarly priced options. Would suggest getting other options, or wait for GS66 (but 10th gen Intel basically no excitement)

Hi ZM Fong, it seems u are very experience in comp tech and spec. Would like to ask for your opinion..

Hp Pavilion Gaming DK0243Tx RM4076
Level 51 Forge Elite RM4375

Both are having the same spec as i7-9750, gtx1660ti, 512ssd. Difference is the Ram 16gb vs 8gb, and 60hz vs 120hz. And one with w10, another without.

For the price difference of RM299, do u think is worth to get Level 51 or the HP?

I am buying mainly for video editing and normal work only.
Not hardcore on game, maybe once a month when really nth to do. So i think the screen refresh rate is not of a concern unless it affect video editing?

Whats your indepth knowledge about this 2 and your opinion is highly appreciated..

Pavilion Gaming 1660Ti is Max-Q, also build quality and cooling not that great

What's your budget? Any preferences on weight and battery life?

Oh i didnt know is Max Q. if thats the case then i think the choice is quite clear already.

My budget is 4000 actually but seeing that if i wan i7 and 1660ti, ive to stretch my budget a little higher. No preferences on other thing as long as the spec i wan, a 15'6, and with a numpad at the side. Doesnt fancy color/mechanical keyboard etc. Most of the time with plugged in so battery is non issue. Weight doesnt matter cause not main for portable usage

Forge 15 Elite only has normal response times (unlike 144Hz IPS) and low sRGB

If you want i7+1660Ti+144Hz, have to spend over RM4.5k

U meant the monitor right? Does it affect video editing? The guy at level 51 said it doesnt even if i get the 144hz. l am towards the performance, long lasting with no hardware issue, and future proof for good 5-10yrs. My current asus n56vz last me good 7 years with no problem at all, just that is eating lot of time when rendering and sometimes ended up with broken frame.

Yes monitor. If you're doing colour sensitive work, high sRGB is preferred

Realistically, there's no guarantee on how long will the laptop last, in terms of performance (due to newer games) and reliability/longevity
