Hi ZM Fong, it seems u are very experience in comp tech and spec. Would like to ask for your opinion..
Hp Pavilion Gaming DK0243Tx RM4076 Level 51 Forge Elite RM4375
Both are having the same spec as i7-9750, gtx1660ti, 512ssd. Difference is the Ram 16gb vs 8gb, and 60hz vs 120hz. And one with w10, another without.
For the price difference of RM299, do u think is worth to get Level 51 or the HP?
I am buying mainly for video editing and normal work only. Not hardcore on game, maybe once a month when really nth to do. So i think the screen refresh rate is not of a concern unless it affect video editing?
Whats your indepth knowledge about this 2 and your opinion is highly appreciated..

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Mar 22 2020, 12:31 PM) Pavilion Gaming 1660Ti is Max-Q, also build quality and cooling not that great What's your budget? Any preferences on weight and battery life? Oh i didnt know is Max Q. if thats the case then i think the choice is quite clear already. My budget is 4000 actually but seeing that if i wan i7 and 1660ti, ive to stretch my budget a little higher. No preferences on other thing as long as the spec i wan, a 15'6, and with a numpad at the side. Doesnt fancy color/mechanical keyboard etc. Most of the time with plugged in so battery is non issue. Weight doesnt matter cause not main for portable usage This post has been edited by clanzkiller: Mar 22 2020, 03:13 PM

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Mar 22 2020, 03:37 PM) Forge 15 Elite only has normal response times (unlike 144Hz IPS) and low sRGB If you want i7+1660Ti+144Hz, have to spend over RM4.5k U meant the monitor right? Does it affect video editing? The guy at level 51 said it doesnt even if i get the 144hz. l am towards the performance, long lasting with no hardware issue, and future proof for good 5-10yrs. My current asus n56vz last me good 7 years with no problem at all, just that is eating lot of time when rendering and sometimes ended up with broken frame. QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Mar 22 2020, 08:29 PM) Yes monitor. If you're doing colour sensitive work, high sRGB is preferred Realistically, there's no guarantee on how long will the laptop last, in terms of performance (due to newer games) and reliability/longevity Ok thanks alot for your advice. Stay safe!

Hi ZM Fong, i still havent decided on my new laptop yet and the MCO kick-in. Then today i saw the ads of Level 51 offering new gen CPU of both AMD and Intel.
Previously i was about to go ahead with Forge 15 Elite i7-9750h GTX1660TI @ 4375, now seems like the i7-10750h is a better deal, BUT only with GTX1650TI @ 4065. If were to choose GTX1660TI, it will be AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4079
So the comparison here is that i7-10750h vs AMD Ryzen 3600 or GTX1650TI vs GTX1660TI?
I know u mentioned that the forge is a new Clevo chasis and no review yet so u cant comment further. If were to compared on by the spec above regardless of brand, which CPU/GPU will u recommend?

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Apr 21 2020, 08:25 AM) Forge 15s don't have reviews yet (new Clevo chassis), therefore I can't comment much 1650Ti is just a bit faster than 1650, R5 3600 also better than i7-10750H overall, but no iGPU means that battery life will be poor. I would pick Forge 15R The new Clevo NH5xAC/AD/AF aldy has some reviews+benchmarks, looks decent and promising. Still need to test out myself though Ok thanks bro.. really appreciate for your help. Battery life not really important for me as i mostly use it at home with plugged in. If were to use for work, i think it still can last for at least 2hrs for normal microsoft word/excel/power point. So i guess i go with the R5 3600 with 1660ti then. Maybe i buy and let u review it? hahahaha oh ya btw, you mentioned that the forge has only one primary slot of ssd. It still can add another HDD right so become SSD + HDD? This post has been edited by clanzkiller: Apr 21 2020, 11:48 PM
