I saw its available to be bought in website now but price 7.1k. Comparing specs with preorder no difference or my eyes failed me.

Any idea what the battery capacity for the new Legion 5/5P in mWh? It says 4 Cell Li-Polymer which apparently lasts *up to 8 hrs* but obviously they might be pushing these numbers

same as before - 80Wh

How are thermals for the new Legion 5 / Legion 5 Pro? I saw some reviews on reddit saying they hit 95+ degrees under heavy load.

Also, is the Legion slim series any good? The new ones coming soon with Ryzen 5000 CPUS and RTX3060 seems like a really good deal.

Can handle with ease in heavy CPU+GPU stress, but auto fan curve a bit slow - during gaming since fan speed not at max, sometimes will have temp spikes

Can lift/raise laptop to lower temps further (applicable for most laptops)

Edit: most 1st batch units aren't in latest BIOS, the latest BIOS improve perf and thermals slightly (note: due to our high temp, add 5C to the temp results)

Thanks for the info ZM Fong. Anyway do you have any thoughts regarding the Legion Slim 7? The new version comes with Ryzen 5000 CPUs and RTX3060MQ. Much prefer a thin and light gaming laptop with a sleek design than a gamey looking one like the L5P

LS7 2021 not so fast refresh, last time I heard earliest is June - will only update specs, no big changes like 16:10 panel

unfortunately Legion is lacking a balanced thin and light now (LS7 isn't really a true gaming laptop due to lack of ports and its thickness)...mayb look for other models from other brands...
