Thanks @ZM FONG for your reviews and advice. Really appreciate.

I’m looking for high end gaming laptop. Currently looking at Selenite pro, onyx g and onyx pro from illegear. Also msi and gigabyte. Dell Alienware too but dell Malaysia update slow.

Is it worth waiting for two months? Don’t see how Ryzen 4000 can beat intel i7 10875 right? Please give your advice.

Also is it worth upgrading to the 2070 (Rm699) or even the 2070 super (rm1399)

Budget is not so much concern but looking to get best value for money spent.

Looking forward to advice.

Have you check the latest reviews for Ryzen 4000 series laptops? They absolutely destroyed Intel.

Just a quick question, can't I modify the NVME SSD configurations in Legion 5 to be 128GB and 1TB respectively? When I select 1TB for the first disk drive, the second is automatically fixed at 1TB as well.

How are thermals for the new Legion 5 / Legion 5 Pro? I saw some reviews on reddit saying they hit 95+ degrees under heavy load.

Also, is the Legion slim series any good? The new ones coming soon with Ryzen 5000 CPUS and RTX3060 seems like a really good deal.

Thanks for the info ZM Fong. Anyway do you have any thoughts regarding the Legion Slim 7? The new version comes with Ryzen 5000 CPUs and RTX3060MQ. Much prefer a thin and light gaming laptop with a sleek design than a gamey looking one like the L5P

Do you think the price for Legion 5 Pro will drop below 6k again? The coupon available now is so not worth it

Really tempted to pull the trigger on the Legion 5 Pro now that the 20% discount code is back.

Quick questions,
1. Is getting the 3070 over the 3060 version worth it? How much of a performance difference is it?
2. If I get the 3060 and plays on 1080p, Will the image become blurry? Since the screen is 1440p.
3. What do you mean by MUX? @ZMFong

Another question, is the storage upgradable for the Legion 5 Pro? I see that only 1TB option is available on the site. Does it have another slot for additional SSD / HDD ?

Such a bummer. 2 days ago I saw the Legion 5 Pro with 3070 ships within 2 weeks. Then after finally pulling the trigger today I only noticed it changed to Call for availability. Called up Lenovo and they say my order only expect to arrive in 10-12 weeks time. bangwall.gif Their ready stock in Malaysia all sold out.

some said debit card won't work but some said they paid using it

for debit card, full amount will be charged upon purchase - only credit card charge full amount after shipment

Just got back from a call with Lenovo, they confirmed that they only accept credit card payment and direct deposit only. Debit card transaction will be rejected

Just wondering, how do you get RM5028+ for the Legion 5 Pro with 3060 and RM5812+ with 3070? Is it with R7 5800H and 1TB SSD?

For the Legion 5 / Legion 5 Pro self customize version, what is the difference between the Legion Ultimate Support vs the premium onsite support? Is it worth getting the ultimate legion support over the premium onsite support?

Hi, I have several questions

Question 1:
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 82JQ005HMJ: MUX, 3070 125-140W
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 82JQ005DMJ: MUX, 3070 125-140W

HMJ has 16GB RAM and priced at RM7.7k before discount whereas DMJ has 32GB RAM and priced at 6.9k before discount. What's the difference between these 2 and which should I go for?

Question 2
What advantages do Lenovo Legion 7 82N6003VMJ has compared to the above Legion 5 Pro?
*
32GB model on offer currently. After coupon, it is same price as 16GB model after coupon discount. Refer 1st page for info. Pretty obvious which one you should go for. Wait time for the Legion 5 Pro can be very long though. You will be looking at 10 - 12 weeks.

The Legion 7 has
- much sleeker, less gamery look without the Y logo on its back.
- R9 5900HX and RTX 3080 option.
- slightly better cooling with vapor chamber.
- glass trackpad
- slightly better build quality.

Also do note that the Legion 5 Pro comes with shitty RAM that bottleneck your CPU performance. Jarrod's Tech will have a video tomorrow explaining the issue. Upgrading the RAM in Legion 5 Pro can net you about 10 - 20% performance increase.

The RAM bottleneck won't happen on the L7 82N6003VMJ? Also, the vapor chamber is only on the R9 5900HX or for all?
*
Nope. The Legion 7 comes with a different RAM than Legion 5 Pro. The vapor chamber is available for all Legion 7 configuration regardless of CPU/GPU.
