Thermals is slightly improved compared to last gen (Y540), though 7nm have poorer heat dissipation (expect higher temp under same power limit compared to Intel). Battery life 5-6 hrs for 60Wh, around 8 hrs for 80Wh (choose SSD in first storage in the customization page to get 80Wh). At this price range you won't get big battery in a gaming laptop

I'm considering it also but it doesn't have 144Hz 100%sRGB

There are reviews but in Chinese, I can link you some if you want. Which aspects you're looking at (eg thermals, build quality etc)? Maybe I can summarize a bit for you

to be expected with Lenovo website, as these are customized and ship from overseas

but retail i think still hard to beat at rm2999 for online lenovo store

thanks, I'll be watching ur link

not much actually, just need a decent laptop for occasionally gaming (casual title like csgo, dota, or civilization), some twitch and light browsing, working wirh words and excel

thermal should not be a problem since i always on aircon room, just that i like thin bezel design like legion series, and battery not expect much from gaming laptop but as stated by u, 5 to 6 hour without gaming is pretty decent in my book.

Thinking if I should go for Asus Zephyrus G15 or customise an Illegear Onyx V.

Going to be using the laptop for 4-5 years down the road.

1650Ti not worth it, upgrade RAM to 16GB for dual channel and lower cost (manual upgrade more expensive)

Hi, I'm planning to buy Illegear Raven SE and upgrading the laptop to i7-10750H.

I mainly use the laptop for some normal gaming (dota,LoL,poe) and software like Photoshop,AI,After Effect,Blender,Maya.

My budget max is around rm4.5k

Just wanted to ask for some is it ok to last at least 3 years in my college life? or have better option for other laptop.

thank you in advance for suggestion smile.gif

Thank you for the suggestion. May I know many storage SSD is good enough? Will it be cheaper if I upgrade RAM & SSD outside?

at least 256GB SSD, the RAM&SSD upgrades in the customization page are priced low, therefore manual upgrade isn't needed

note that you can get 80Wh battery by selecting SSD in first storage option
