120hz might be important for VR.
To hit that frame rate consistently in the existing PSVR1 and future PSVR 2.

High frame rate is way more important when the screen is right next to your eyes.

That came out of no where, unlike the hype when Disney trying to buy over marvel or Lucas or fox.

Bethesda is huge in US, which would probably hit hard on Sony with fallout and elder scroll.

don't expect 4K 120Hz console game play to be here anytime soon

even top spec PC are struggling to get that

judging on the current spec of both PS5 & XBsX?
maybe they can output that as max, but don't expect a consistent frame rate of 120

if we can have a consistent 4K 60fps I'm a very happy gamer already

Even phone is not looking smooth with 60hz.
Thats why many phone now go 90+Hz.

I would suppose base on the PS5 hardware, most games will be able to run at QHD resolution above 60fps.

PS5 will do 4K but not natively. It will be slightly below 4K but upscaled.

i havent sold any of my ps4 games since i bought my ps4 in 2014. so digital ver is still good for me, but i actually dont mind going for disk ver if there is no choice.

some games are up to 120 fps like cod, i personally think if they can keep most games at 4k/60fps is very good for majority gamers.

maybe 2d game or games like fall guy they can go up to 120fps.. but i think if can 90fps also very good le. 90hz and 60hz can see diff alot.

Based on the producer's reveal.

Next gen console have 3 display graphic modes.

1. Ray tracing on + 4K + 30 fps

2. Ray tracing on + 1080p + 60 fps

3. Ray tracing off + 4k/1080p + 60/120 fps


For 3rd point, he didn't specifically mention which one got 120fps. I assume it's only available in 1080p mode. Stable or not, that's another question.

What do you guys expect... 4k at 120fps.. that's impossible.. Obviously at most 4k at 30fps is the standard for most games.
