PS5 can only match Xbox sex price at 499 or go even cheaper..459..

but i highly doubt it will be 459 cuz then they will be losing money for each console they sold..so 499 it is.
*
They have been losing money for each console they've sold for a long time already and gain it back by software sales lol

PS4 on launch was $399. So we'll see. If they want to make it attractive they would make it $399.. That's in between Xbox Series S $299 and Series X $499, bigbrain.

i believe that 399 price will be for the disc-less version..

bloomberg says PS5 cost around 450 to make..i assume that is for the disc version..

This might be different depending on the game.
Games like cyberpunk should work even on discs.
As long as you don’t get the digital version of the consoles, it should work.

then like tat go buy 2nd hand disc game then wait for upgrade= instant profit? lol.. i dont think disc game entitled to upgrade.

pc is overwhelming. no need to pay for multiplayer & games can be modded. that's why pc = master race.  whistling.gif

graphically PC confirm win we know but cost is also higher.

i been in Pc gaming for quite many years. i find it PC Gamers are more into playing hardware more than playing games ( always check for next big GPU upgrade, Gaming Keyboard , gaming mouse, benchmark this and that.... etc etc ). and i am tired of a lot low quality games that publish in PC. u can have the RTX 3080/3090 in your set up but in developer polish their game poorly it is going to run like shit as well in Window PC.... bugs ...crushes can easily spoil my experience.

and PC lacks of good triple AAA exclusive title and even in today standard their multiplayer games always have too many hackers.

Paying for online is bad ya that is true... but i see it Pro and Con...on other way round i get the buy one game digitally and i able to share with my Brother unlike PC i cant share with my family members while i am playing that particular games ( i know steam you have this family sharing feature but we cant both play together at the same time.) on Play station in particularly i can at least. that is damn a lot of saving. e.g i remember last time if i want to play Dark Soul 3 with my brother in steam me and my brother each have to buy one copy..and in PS we only need one copy..that is damn a lot of saving down the road. he bought Ghost of tsushima and The last of us 2...now i no need to buy again and i will be able to play on PS5 in future ( hopefully family sharing is still a thing in PS5.. guess we will know shortly).

same applicable to PS plus subscription.. only one person in the family need to subscript then me and my brother both able to play online and access to Ps plus games and play together at the same time.

in the end.... console got the top tier exclusive Games, it also save me a lot of money. so....

Then $399 is nothing if they decide to sell it for that. Disc-less can cost $350, making the Series S irrelevant with too little horsepower lol. With disk drive or not, price different kinda minimal with mass production laugh.gif See la soon, if they make it cheaper it will be more attractive, if they make it around the same price, then they will lose sales also since some might consider getting an Xbox instead. nod.gif

Biggest selling point, but underpowered. As you already know most got a 4k tv already at this point, if not planning to get one. 2k resolution vs 4k resolution.. Even the Xbox One X is more powerful I think laugh.gif

Would be interesting to see if PS5 also will have a more budget friendly option in the long run. Pretty sure they don't have one atm.

PS1, PS2 in the past and PC currently.

Now that even Sony has confirmed they are looking to bring their exclusives to PC, it makes me wonder... why buy a console when the experience will be better on the PC?

You might be wrong there. I'm wondering where you get you data from that most have 4k TV now. We are talking about international console launch here with millions spend on gathering data. I doubt Microsoft get the data that suggest MOST already have 4K tv yet decide to launch a console only capable for 1440p.
Even 2 of the panelist for IGN weekly postcast don't have 4K tv and are gaming at 1080. My point is though a PlayStation owner all the way here, I feel that xbox have done something really right and interesting for this launch. Targeting both end of the low and high end player.

This totally, it has always been PC + a console combo = win

For the next-gen, EVERYTHING that's being offered on Xbox can be found on PC as well, so why MS bother turning up with another console (plus two editions? It might seems like a win situation for consumer, but making an inferior console sibling + digital only with the storage of 512GB SSD? Not a good move by them) is beyond me.

On the other hand, Sony still has the upper hand on exclusive top-tier games. Don't give me the bullshit "One day Sony might allow their exclusives on PC", I'd just say I already play it two or three years ago, so I don't care rclxs0.gif

Depends on the game.
Projekt red did not distinguish between digital or disc for next gen free upgrade for cyberpunk.

Clearly stated in their webpage.

QUOTE
At a later date, we'll also release an upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, which will take full advantage of the next-gen hardware.

Both of these options apply to owners of physical and digital copies of the game, and will be available for free.

Can’t say the same for other greedier game companies though.

thats why i felt skeptical on the disc implementation. How they implement it, by reading PS4 disc then online redeem? 1 disc redeem once? if not everyone buy 2nd hand ps4 cyberpunk 2077 then entitled upgrade, which doesnt make sense also.

In this case, it should be a free upgrade like a patch.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a second hand disc. The moment you place it in, it’ll automatically download the patch.

Not too different from older PS4 games getting a patch to take advantage of the PS4pro performance.

FFVII remake was the reason why I bought my PS4 pro. And I believe FFVII remake 2 will be the reason for me to buy PS5.

I buy the console not because of the console itself. It's all because of the games I want to play. PC is great, xbox series is not bad as well. But do they have their own first hand exclusive titles on the road? Sadly to say, the answer is no.

So playstation will always be my only choice, even if its spec and performance are weaker compared to other platform.

Hahaha, I think FF7 remake after 1 year exclusive to Sony will be selling at xbox / pc as well laugh.gif
As for Xbox, too bad Microsoft Malaysia doesn't want to bring them in officially

Xbox do have their exclusive title (forza and halo), but it might be available to PC at later time whistling.gif

Production cut by 4 million. Heh I think better wait longer, most likely early adopter might encounter a bunch of issues also QC wise maybe. No rush.
