There's not much 'WOW' factor already moving from PS4 to PS5.
Graphically, the PS5 looks more like visual enhancement instead of revolutionize the graphics.

I really like the design, white and black looks very futuristic.
Still not going to buy it any time soon. Will be very expensive and so far no real launch titles interest me that much. I want that Spider-Man...but can afford to wait. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 12 2020, 12:07 PM) Understand that the digital version would mean you cannot play any of your physical PS4 games. u know what ben, i agree with sony on this, when they commented on ps4 lacking in backwards compatibility as compared to rival xbox, citing gamers do not want to play last gen game on current console. there is some valid truth here, seeing we have so many remasters and remakes and so many upcoming games there just ain't enough time to revisit old games. it's good to have a console that's compatible with your whole library, but if no one gives a damn on nintendo compatibility why playstation then? surely your mp3 player cannot put in cd. surely your cd player cannot put in cassette. surely your video player cannot even run on betamax! So for those who cares about backwards compat and has a lot of physical PS4 games, best to get the disc version. Of course you can just rebuy your owned games too. |

Yup. Pushing forward is a good thing instead of always dwelling on the past. Giving options is the way to go and I'm pretty sure the digital version will come up as the best seller instead of the disc one, assuming the digital version will be much cheaper that is. I'm expecting $50-$80 cheaper. |

One of the things if people are worried about space is that the new PS5 games, we can choose to install portions of the game. So example if I bought Uncharted 5 (assuming another comes out) and finished the single player campaign, I can delete it and just retain the multiplayer mode if I want to continue it from time to time. This should alleviate the space concerns somewhat.
For coop games like souls series, borderlands etc maybe a little tough though. Forgot that ps5 is touting backwards compatibility. Just pushes me nearer to getting it on day 1 😅 hope there’s a special horizon 2 or Spider-Man design version like the PS4 then it will be must buy for me. |

as long price within estimation which is USD500 mostly will get day one..and i want to know more on family sharing if i want to go full digital which i already been doing so since PS4.
If family sharing still remain same as PS4 then there is more reason for me to get day 1 since me and my brother sharing each other library it gives me another good reason to dump physical disc. by the way, the design of Disc version like after thought design. like in Sony corp... Mark Cerny: this is how we vision PS5 Bla Bla but we got no more space for blueray disc. time to embrace full digital and the perfected our design? CEO Jim: but some consumer still want play with disc. Mark Cerny: lets add one just below them..Here u go PS5 Disc Version. CEO Jim: Genius Mark Cerny. *clap hand* |

If ps5 have full backward compatibility at least for ps4 games, I would probably buy on day 1. Been holding off the Pro upgrade for ps5 lol.

QUOTE(hybr1d3d @ Jun 12 2020, 09:37 AM) But the bad thing about digital is, once you buy it you can't trade it after finishing the game.... every game must buy in full price or wait for sale.... Yeap. Except I really dislike the hassle of selling the games. Digital also enables me to play at my home and my parent’s home without needing to bring the discs along. I don’t buy full price for most games though. I don’t mind waiting a couple of months or even a year for a sale. |

Was planning to get it on day one, but might probably just wait a while tbh. While the game line up seems good, most won't even make it on launch, so that's something to consider as well.

We don’t even know the launch date and price. 2. Getting on launch date would usually mean paying a premium or long queues. 3. Unlikely. But I’m still skeptical if a similar RROD or YLOD case might occur again. I’ll watch a few reviews and let the early adopters test it. |

The PS5 may not even launch on the same day in Malaysia compared to the US or EU. I'd be surprised if it's even in the same month.

I'm still waiting for the info where they would reconfirm the original PSVR would work with the PS5 or not. They did mention before it would, but you never know. Literally no mention of VR whatsoever so far which is a bummer for me. Maybe there will be a separate announcement just for VR related stuff, considering not everyone is into that, so I hope there is one. The 3D audio mentioned is the only thing VR related at least.
I just wanna sell off my PSVR if you can't use it with the PS5. More funding for other stuff which will most likely go for the PS5 as well. Still hoping I don't have to spend much for some VR experience on PS5 and just use the old one tho |

Now that you mentioned it... that's true regarding the light bar.. I forgot the DualSense controller doesn't have a light bar in front rip.wasn't expect a PS5 HD Camera accessory, as the PS4 camera is as good as paper weight without the PSVR & PSMove since there's a new camera reveal, but not othe VR related accessories like PSVR2 or Move2, i think there's a 80% chance it's compatible with existing PSVR just not all existing VR games are gonna be compatible, especially those games utilizing the camera to detect your DS4 light bar |
