Of course f1. 7 is better than f1. 8 biggrin.gif
Ppl considering to get the mini 0906 should try to get the newer one with f1. 7 lens, if u didn't get my drift.
*
Have to know which manufacturer is using the f1.7 lens as mini0906 have lots of manufacturers who bought the mini0906 mould.

Hi, any comment on Blaupunkt BP9?

Blaupunkt doesn't make dashcams. It is mostly OEM from a China manufacturer.

Hello ..

I am planning to invest on a new dashcam camera for my new car ( Mazda CX5 .. )

I had done some research and found out that Transcend Drive 550 .. is more to my liking

the reason is that ;
1) it has 2 camera for the front ... ( one facing outisde / one facing inside for car cabin .. and one for rear end .. )

question :

is there any other maker has this features ... which is worth for me to compare to this Transcend Drive pro 550

2) Is the normal wire provided enough length for this CX 5 suv ..
( for rear camera to be connected )

question ..

any current  drive pro 550 ..owner ..can share share comment ...
thank you very much for your reply comment ...
ooohhh ..last ... where to get this unit if i wishes to drop by the shop ..KL area ..please ...
*
1) Actually the 2 cams are front and inside the cabin. Nothing for the rear. It's not a triple dashcam.
2) All will come with long enough cables to nicely conceal the cables.

I remember long time back a friend brought this Transcend Drive 550, I know within the few days he returned it back to a shop in Low Yat.

If you want infrared cam to record inside the cabin, try Viofo A129 Duo IR. Then get another smaller dashcam to record the rear if you want.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for who's selling/which brand name the f1. 7 model will be sold under. Will share when I find out. Maybe u could do the same.

Any news on the Mini 0906 Pro yet?
*
Long time mini didn't make any new dashcam model besides 0906.

Mini 0906 pro gonna announce and release soon. Spec is out but yet to release to public.

Camdii brand
*
So it's not by Megtech anymore? Camdii is a new company? Or a rebrand of Megtech?

It seems like a rebrand. Megtech is the service center here in the distributor list: https://www.camdii.store/network

Hello guys

Can I ask what are the pro and cons and in comparison between 70mai pro and viofo a129 dual?
*
70mai Pro - Single dashcam, using battery inside, impact only parking mode
Viofo A129 Duo - Dual dashcam, using capacitor inside, buffered parking mode

Very hard to compare single cam and dual dashcam ler sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

You'll need to drill down to the specs and view the recordings of both and see which is better...

Camdii is brand under Megtech for REM.

BTW all mini 0906 is on F1.7 lens nowdays. F1.8 is the old spec back in the days.
*
Noted. So when are you bringing in the new mini0906 Pro since you're selling Camdii?

Whats the price with buying 1 dual channel viofo vs buying 2*70mai pro?

Then if compare like this? Which better?
*
70Mai Pro about rm200-250 x2
Viofo A129 Duo about rm600-700

Getting 2 single dashcams to use as a dual in a car, you'll need to get 2 micro SD cards and 2 power points. A very long micro USB cable to the rear.

Getting a dual dashcam will need 1 micro SD card and 1 power point. Rear cam gets power from the front cam.

Using 70mai pro. Couldn't record clear number plate when driving at high speed. Too low FPS, 30fps only if not mistaken.
*
No dashcam can record a clear number plate at high-speed day or night. Not even premium Korean dashcams.

In reality, if it is too dark for 60fps the camera will automatically change to 30fps and if it is bright enough for 60fps then it will automatically use 1/60th-second exposure. The amount of motion blur within the video frames is normally identical between 30fps and 60fps.

So the only real differences are smoother playback in bright conditions, twice as many frames so that you have more chance of catching things that move very fast.

In your opinion, which one is better?

2 x 70mai pro or viofo A129 duo?
*
I would go for Viofo A129 Duo.

At least I know there is not using lithium polymer battery like the 70Mai which can fail anytime.

Don't get me wrong as I used to like mini0903, mini0805, etc. But they've been plagued with bad quality a lot.

Installed A129 Pro Duo at Sicurez Sunway yday. So far so good. Happy with the quality. Prebuffered parking mode recording non stop when i parked at some busy parking lot. LOL.
Just wondering if its okay to use larger (400gb / 512gb) when the manufacturer deliberately states that “support up to 256gb”? I do saw people running flawlessly but just wondering how about long term looping?

Saw some 400/512gb selling in lazada RM400-500+. Heart itchy want to buy but afraid that might end up buy and keep only if not suitable.

Thanks.
Btw, just want to mention that Top notch service and installation by Sicurez Sunway. Super neat and careful installation. Do recommend to visit them for Thinkware or Viofo dashcam.
*
Minimum I suggest to use 128GB microSD but will also see which bitrate mode. High and Maximum bitrate will use a lot of space then go for 256GB card or higher. But are you willing to buy a 400GB/512GB for rm500+++++

Looks ok for A129 Duo with GPS at that price. But remember should be no warranty included.

i watched the a119 v3 footage damn powerful, especially during night time

i was thinking to get 70mai pro but the footage was so laoyah, worse than a129 duo  sweat.gif

now kinda having dilemma, coz i still have my first gen OG xiaomi dashcam for front

now is aiming for rear one (my car backside kena bang 3 times, all 3 times i were innocent, but luckily all 3 considering minor coz no repair is needed)

now dah takut, must get solid rear cam liao (cilaka really drive carefully also can kena sohai drivers bang buta one)

do u guys think i should go a129 duo straight or a119 v3 for rear n use my old xiaomi for front use?

thanks

*ps i do realize got a129 pro duo already , lagi gooding but local market macam tarak orang bring in yet, n prices are so expensive  sweat.gif
*
If can, straight get a dual so you don't have to get another micro SD and worry where to get power for the rear cam.

Sicurez is Viofo distributor in Malaysia sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

do u think a119 v3 rm380 is good deal?

A129 Pro Duo on 11.11 sales rm939.51.

RM380 for A119 v3 is a steal. Normal is rm400+++.

Use the Xiaomi as the rear cam. Will be a waste to use the A119v3 as the rear cam.

It will work well as the rear also. Got a few friends who installed 2 units of A119v2 for front and rear.

Currently running a samsung evo plus 128gb frm Sicurez.

Aiming to get the 512gb tonight 11.11 sale on lazada lol.

My concern is merely whether large capacity card (over the recommended size) will cause issue in looping recording n etc.

Setting at mid bitrate as of now n most probably gonna stick to it. (Looks great now with cpl filter front and back)

Tested parking motion mode. Love it. The hardwire kit cuts off as it promised (set at 12.4v) thou i do not know the actual voltage remaining but judging by cranking the engine, it felt solid as usual so guess its above 12v.
*
Actually bigger capacity cards take longer to loop record the older files. It will last longer than smaller capacity cards in the long run.

I understand that it will take longer time to fill up and loop. Maybe i should rephrase my concern to “cause any unwanted issue due to exceeding the recommended size”.

In this case i gonna buy the 512gb tonight then. Just wondering how legit is Pcbyte? Saw lots of positive review thou.

I haven't read any issues using 512GB yet.

If not mistaken, I bought my 256GB Samsung Evo Plus from them during the last 7.7 sales.

I am in dilemma stage of choosing between .. iroad TX9 and marbella KR8s

I will be  taking my new car by Jan 2019 CX5 ... and was told that Marbella KR8S is  an approved panel ( In terms of hardwire )  dashcam camera for Mazda car ...is this true .. ???

and I ready with the budget of 1500 ringgit ... so ,,, now the question is which one to choose ...

looking for some comment on this 2 dashcam .... would be very appreciated if any mazda CX5 owner whom are having this 2  dashcam .. can share share your experiences ..

thank you
*
Don't. Both have quality issues.

If you're looking for Korean dashcam then go for Thinkware. They have a store in Sunway.

samsung evo plus is good enough for dashcam use?

i mean not necessary to get high endurance one?

high endurance choice is quite limited locally tho , only see got kingston n sandisk
*
The Samsung Evo Plus has been tested to work in dashcam for those on budget. But if course not covered by Samsung if used in dashcams.

Only those stated for dashcams use is covered but more expensive.

Anyway for these cards, I expect a 2-3 years lifespan only. MLC cards will be a bit longer.

But usually those high endurance cards have slower wrote speed.
