Done installing rear dashcam too. Unable to avoid the defroster strip. Also, placed it slightly lower than the topmost area to avoid being hit by rear-curtain. Even that, it still slighly hits it but no choice. Manage to hide the excess wire at the car boot.

Are you guys able to make the Voice Command function working? For example, Take Picture to capture a picture. Unable to find ways to enable it at setting.

The rear dashcam is affected by reflection. See pic, the arrow is ponting to the end of my boot. Abit hard to see

Guys, i am planning to purchase Blackvue DR970X + B130X power battery pack.

Interested in using the Blackvue Cloud service for 24/7 remote live monitoring.

But i was wondering, to have a 24/7 4G internet in your car, you  going to need a portable 4G router + powerbank right?
but having powerbank (Li Polimer or LiOn based) is dangerous because it's a fire hazard.

but so far i surveyed, no LiFePo4 based small powerbank is available. Only those big mini powerstations like Bluetti EB3A that cost like a bomb & quite bulky to be used, so not very practical.
LiFePo4 is safe to store in extreme temperatures.

Then i researched on Blackvue B130X battery pack, got a USB output port. So if i buy a 4G router stick such as below:

should work wonders right? Maybe i just get a hotlink pantas, activate the 365 validity + 5GB pass, should be sufficient ya?

Some basic questions.

1. Can any normal front dashcam be used as a rear dashcam?
2. Is it advisable to go with standard dashcam option by car manufacturer (for rear dashcam) to minimise hassle since it will be installed in the factory, or go with aftermarket one which uses different app to control since the front dashcam is already included with the vehicle using the car manufacturer's app?

For me, as long as the dash camera can take clear pictures of the number plate, that's good enough for me. Don't need any fancy features but was just curious about the pros and cons of having an integrated app to control both front and rear dashcams, or 2 different apps to control the front and rear dashcams separately since they come from different brands/manufacturers.

hi. my 70mai A800 no response, no record, cannot connect thru apps, sometimes got camera sometimes not, sometimes got sound, button freeze. my question is my dascham still can be repair? or gone kaput already?

already 3 years usage. no warranty already. i called the shop i install, they said cannot repair. There is no shop/service centre for xiaomi 70mai is it?

my initial thought is screen mainly for viewing during emergency. so no need open app to see recordings. apparently it doesnt work this way

and also no time-out options for dppai

Hi, Want to ask if anyone have this issue or not in model 70mai a800s. sometime video will hang few second.. already did firmware update latest and try other memory card still same.. disappointed on this car dash cam.. bought at 2021 march after 2 years problem. my another Yi dash cam bought at 2016 till now only battery weak the rest no problem at all..

For those very expensive dashcam up to 2.5k above, what is the difference with the budget one like 70mai? What is the reason to buy such expensive dashcam

Can anyone enlighten me on hardwiring dash cam, does it affect the battery significantly to cause issue especially with newer cars full of electronics and sensors. Been using OG 70mai dashcam with battery, previously it can last a few hours through the night (just impact detection, not full 24hr monitor) but battery has degraded a lot, now once power cut, it can only last 1 min or so.

I just got mine installed today in Dasher Glenmarie. This is what i read from the manual booklet.
The UP04 hardwire kit will provide low-voltage protection to prevent over-discharging of the car battery due to the continuous operation of the main device.

Low voltage protection will cutoff battery supply when the car battery voltage dropped to:
i) 11.8BV (12V Battery)
ii) 23.6V (24V Battery)

how do u charge the battery pack, use the 12V socket?
