Wow. Read the comments in their FB page. Looks like charging without proof is almost normal. I signed up during their initial start as rental of cars were free then. Didnt actually get to use the service but am now wary about having my credit card saved in the app. Have sent their customer service an enquiry on how to close my account and have all my personal information deleted. Not worth the risk.

Why the hell ts will get lawyer letter from socar?
And if ts no scam the battery, he should sent lawyer letter to socar for defamation

if they say the car report missing , they will charge until ur credit card explode

Hmm this is a very arguable question...no doubt if the vehicle is returned then all responsibility will be released, but how if the renter play foul (by leaving the bonet open) or etc etc later ask kawan to come steal battery?

anyway just report police and report to bank for unauthorized charges.. get back to socar if they still want to proceed can go court let court decide.
i guess most probably socar has to telan it if they do not have solid proof (other than showing battery missing)

I think better you record your next conversation with them to spell out exactly why you were charged. they seem to be very cautious of not writing it in black and white on why they charged you. In that case, better get a recording of their explanation or not they pusing pusing around later when u pursue further.
