Ok on another topic, one of my relative child was holding my phone, not sure what he pressed, now all my contacts are empty!!

An then tried contact -> settings >account > google veejay> and then pressed the contact sync or the "sync now, but no update on the contacts!

appreciate any advise on any other method to sync (other than import/export)

Try log-in your Google Account and see your Google Contact list still there or not.

Thanks mate, manage to figure out the problem. The 'display preferences ' on contact settings was turned off

BTW, previously honor model used to good features but not sure why they didn't pick up the gap left behind by Huawei!

Hi, anyone updated their phone to EMUI 12 yet? Any bug found? Saw the update pushed to my phone just now.

Will install tonight when back home..

Updated to EMUI 12, still monitoring, nothing bad observed at the moment (after few hours).
Need to get used to the changes on notification and quick menu.
Good thing is Folder can be enlarged.

just updated to emui12 from MY HUAWEI hongkong zone.
so far nothing bad too. ya notification bar become susah sikit coz need to choose left or right. used to be right only coz right handed.

enlarge folder is 1 new and good feature.
2nd is camera zoom located at the middle and bottom above shutter. Finally huawei accept the fact and do the right thing.

overall user interface looks more clean and neat.

battery life so far about the same. no more or less.


I wonder this update is based on android 10 or android 11? i heard from youtube mentioned based on android 10 still. How i wish is android 11, at least not so outdated.

It was just an UI update - emui 12
Updated it and happy with it past 2 days - no significant bugs so far

I don't like the 2 pull down, left & right
Prefer one pull all contents to see all

Very troublesome..
Any way to turn off or disable such feature?

for me left and right much better user experience.
but that on mate 40 pro, due to my mate 20 pro no sim inside, i use it for game so no update for me yet.
