What happen if your Band 5 phone cannot connect to Band 5 tower because the tower does not emit Band 5, 38 & 40?
Celcom tower will detect whether it's band 5 phone or not since they have an agreement Official TM Unifi Mobile Fans Club & Enquiries V8, #khabar baik

QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Dec 30 2019, 06:58 PM) And this is not 850MHz (ie. Band 5). So, the 5GB capped is there whenever any phone in this planet connect to Celcom tower. The tower is more important than the phone bands... Actually, using the term "Celcom tower" is not accurate... Just to let you know... |

Just disable Band 5, 38 & 40 so that the so-called "Band 5 phone" to constantly connect to Celcom's 2100MHz...
After the Celcom's 5GB quota exhausted, no more data available... Not even 64kbps which most other telcos are offering... So, if we are in very poor Band 5, 38 & 40 zone, clinging to Celcom's 5GB/month quota @ HSDPA spectrum is "paranoid-ing"... This post has been edited by azhar75: Dec 30 2019, 07:16 PM |

QUOTE(Sam Leong @ Dec 30 2019, 02:26 PM) getting 70mbps while on Kepong with 4G on Unifi Mobile Postpaid Jasa Pack 59 Unlimited data That's a good speed....👍🏼[attachmentid=10384956] https://www.speedtest.net/result/a/5600043354 I get more slow speed on 4G+ in same area , what is the problem?  4G+ suppose to be given more bandwidth but it even slower. Checked 4G+ is Band 40 20MHz + Band 40 10MHz but even slower than Band 40 20MHz  |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Dec 30 2019, 06:40 PM) But capped at 5GB/month... it says 5GB capped only if u using non band 5 device. that is clear... if u use band 5 device then the capped is not apply to u, whichever how u connected, thats it[attachmentid=10385052] Until they can handshake with Celcom 4G LTE, the 5GB capped is there for riding on Celcom's HSDPA spectrum... QUOTE(azhar75 @ Dec 30 2019, 05:39 PM) So far, along North-South Highway, UniFi #BEBAS only connects to Celcom HSDPA protocol... Good to hear that at least Celcom is ok.While my XOX line constantly connects to 4G/4G+ even though speeding at 120 km/hr...LOL...no buffering streaming vix... UniFi 4G/4G+ is non-existance along North-South Highway except R&R...Thus, this indicates that UniFi does not have strong Celcom handshake for LTE "yet"... They still clinging to Band 5, 38 & 40... |

![]() TM Point gave me a complimentary empty simcard and said could use apps to register prepaid unifi mobile online, by choosing "I already have a simcard", but during the process, everything is done and order number is given, but now last part to scan the Ic to verify step and to link and activate the simcard, nothing happening during scanning of ic. Anyone has the same experience? TQ |
