I heard the bebas mobile data counter is rigged, if your phone count 250mb the unifi count it as 500+mb is it true?
*
Not really true. When you're on data during the day say 500mb is used up but your actual use is 250mb, later at night usually after 11 pm, 250mb balance is back in your quota.

Example .. the screenshot from my sis's unifi (I'm monitoring her usage so I can topup when it is needed, she use roughly around 15mb per day).

Attached Image

During the day when on data, the upper part (LTE) will be blank and the lower pary (LTE/3G) will be 1.8gb

Later at night around 11 pm, the data will be back shown as 51mb (minus whatever used up) and the lower part back to 1.85gb

For her usage, 100mb is deducted when in use and the balance will be back in quota after actual usage calculated by unifi.

Wish I can give better screenshots to show the difference during the day and night .. but today, Friday she is at home and on wifi. Maybe tomorrow I can upload screenshots for both day and night to illustrate it better.

Pros
1)Cheap and no need top up every month to stays active.
2) the quota  u bought  never expired ( excep tbose hr, weekly or monthly pass)
Cons
1) coverage is not as good as other telco
2) will roam to celcom network if no 4g network.
*
To be honest the coverage is not that bad. Maybe due to the properties of the LTE band that TM is using.

So they deduct first then later return the quota back by the end of the day(night 11pm)?
That's a weird function and confusing. I guess  rclxub.gif
*
Yes.. from what I see, it deducts 100mb first. If you use more than 100mb, another 100mb will be deducted. Only later the actual usage is calculated and any unused mb will be credited back to your quota.

i can confirm this.. it do happen sometimes.. if i checked a few times in a day, i would see the quota going down and up again.. but i can't tell at what time precisely..
.
i'm not saying the app is 100% correct, but if differ, not by much..

Yeah .. no specific time when the balance is back to quota. I guess after 15 hrs since your last usage and maybe longer.

I tested last night, start with 17.11gb available (while on wifi)

Attached Image

I refreshed the mobile@unifi app (while on data), now shown as 17.01gb (100mb was deducted)

Attached Image

And today the 100mb is back to quota .. back to 17.11gb

So far, are there anything you dislike about unifi bebas tho because I'm for sure mnp in soon
*
I have no complaint about coverage & speed. At any place where I always go, no problem.

The only thing I don't like about unifi mobile is their promotions.
Their promotions are actually good but to get them to fulfil their promise is a headache. Have to chat with them multiple times, need to go to TM point to get help. For now .. I don't bother to buy anything if there is a promo.

Personally I think this unifi mobile is suitable for light users.
I just spent RM50 in 2018 (not that I need to reload but mainly because I pity them). For this year the last topup was in March RM10, now no more topup as I hate the promo hassle, I guess will take years to finish all quota (data/call/sms) before I reload again. (I have 3 unifi mobile with total around 50gb).

RM60 for almost a year that a good deal!
sound good for elder, light user as u said. thank you for your time smile.gif

Please note, I mnp 3 no. to unifi in Jan 2018. At that time got 20gb free in each SIM. New registration now, there is no free 20gb, only free 3gb so maybe this will make a difference.

For light user as my sister, since she mnp to unifi mobile from digi in Oct 2018 and there was only free 2gb at that time, todate she spent only RM40. I guess RM60 should be enough for a year usage.

.
depends...
.
if u use only whatsapp + other messaging, i would say 2gb at rm15 can last few months (not expired as long as u use it bit by bit up to 90 days)..
.
my 5 pcs free sims still got around 17gb of data each, that from february 2018 i told u.. huhuhu.. just use it as a backup when yellow telco signal not good..
.
but.. a big BUT.. unsure.gif
.
really should avoid any kind of videos, whether thru messaging or youtube.. their data cost a fortune.. unless u want to spend rm20 for 7 days, u get unlimited data capped 7-8mbps speed (others said not me).. sweat.gif
.
then they also offer unifi postpaid starting from rm19, 29 and so on.. so many variables to consider.. rclxub.gif
.
think wisely... mega_shok.gif

Thinking to get a #BEBAS Starter pack at RM10 as a second sim for banking purposes (receive OTP only). Unlikely there will be any outgoing calls / SMS. Since the starter pack comes with "3GB LTE & 100MB LTE/3G" data,
1) does it mean I just simply surf every 90 days without the need to subscribe any data and my line could stay active?
2) There should be no expiry on the 3GB LTE / 100MB LTE/3G data?
3) What is the difference between '3GB LTE' and '100MB LTE/3G'
4) Will I be reminded when the line is about to expire so that I can initiate a usage before the line terminates
Thanks

1) yes as long as u use some credit deduct action the validity will be extended.

2) yes no expiry only line termination

3) 3gb LTE will only be used when you are in a 4G area and when you are in 3G/H+ it will use the 100MB.

What if your 3G/H+ 100mB finish while you still have 3GB LTE?
No internet until your phone switches to 4G

4) yes u will be reminded on phone and email

Actually I do not intend to reload the sim. My intention is to keep the card active by utilizing the data it comes with, so that I can maintain the number at minimal cost.
