I think unifi mobile will benefit more when it comes to indoor coverage, especially in most commercial places.

The LTE coverage of unifi mobile looks quite comprehensive for outdoor.

I guess don't expect so much from them... Because the more you use on celcom, the more they have to pay celcom...

Most likely the roaming on celcom network will only come into picture when there is no other choice.

Emm... Basically the band 5 is quite good for having consistent coverage for both indoor and rural areas, and band 40 (or sometimes the band 38) provides better throughput and reponse...

But does it matter since TM is restricting the attainable speed of each connection to only 7-10mbps?

It's the major band yet it's only 5mhz wide in bandwidth.
Theoritically it's easier to hit the max capacity.

How inactive you are? I have a Unifi mobile sim and I am only in the country at most once every two months. So far I have not received any similar sms to tell me to stay active.

Does anyone know how come the unifi mobile will constantly drop to 3G even though the LTE signal is actually not that bad (two out of four bar)? I am using iphone by the way...

So far the unifi mobile works quite well for me in JB. In fact I find that it has better coverage than my primary’s Digi. Not sure if it’s because the user base is low and hence better performance or it has better capacity.
However it is sucks as sometimes it will stick to 3G forever, even though the 4G signal is strong enough to be used.

Man TM should just do away the 3G/4G data allocation bullsh**. It's damn irritating that it keeps switching between 3G and 4G and sometimes it just sticks with 3G for no reason

I guess it has some sort of speed restricting for hotspot sharing.

You might not know about the speed cap.

To be honest the coverage is not that bad. Maybe due to the properties of the LTE band that TM is using.

You sure unfii air does not use band 5? Where did you get the info from?

Yes it's very very annoying! I am constantly pushed to 3G and once it is in 3G mode, it will never go back to 4G even I am already in the coverage.

But band 5 is actually quite good... I get better signal in most places especially indoor (if TM bothers to install).
My another Digi SIM sometimes will encounter dead corners in the shopping malls and highways

Rest assured that iPhone 6 is pretty much capable to cover most of the LTE bands around the world.
