I think unifi mobile will benefit more when it comes to indoor coverage, especially in most commercial places.
The LTE coverage of unifi mobile looks quite comprehensive for outdoor.

QUOTE(3825968 @ Apr 27 2019, 03:32 PM) Hi, does anyone has insight on when will be celcom 4g sharing be ready? Thinking to move my family line in when it’s ready. Cz my house, area. Celcom line quite good I guess don't expect so much from them... Because the more you use on celcom, the more they have to pay celcom... Most likely the roaming on celcom network will only come into picture when there is no other choice.

QUOTE(mamamia @ May 2 2019, 06:52 PM) These 2 days, unifi Mobile is giving problem where it keep drop to 3G.. Yes, I realize that the connection will continue to stick to 3G even I am in the 4G coverage. I think something to do with the carrier side.

QUOTE(SteadyPana @ May 8 2019, 04:53 PM) Unifi Mobile never can get 4G+ even though in KL But I am able to get it in JB downtown though. Does your phone support the 4G+ requirement of Unifi mobile?

QUOTE(jack2 @ May 21 2019, 12:46 PM) may i know unifi mobile's band which one is/are the best? Emm... Basically the band 5 is quite good for having consistent coverage for both indoor and rural areas, and band 40 (or sometimes the band 38) provides better throughput and reponse... But does it matter since TM is restricting the attainable speed of each connection to only 7-10mbps?

QUOTE(fat16 @ May 21 2019, 02:42 PM) 7-10mbps still good. me free bebas daily got 3mbps only. band 5 is famous with line congested. It's the major band yet it's only 5mhz wide in bandwidth. Theoritically it's easier to hit the max capacity.

Does anyone know how come the unifi mobile will constantly drop to 3G even though the LTE signal is actually not that bad (two out of four bar)? I am using iphone by the way...

QUOTE(heavensea @ Jun 29 2019, 08:37 PM) Unifi mobile phone (unlimited plan) Speedtest get only download speed of 1.5mbps? Tm capped the speed or congested? So far the unifi mobile works quite well for me in JB. In fact I find that it has better coverage than my primary’s Digi. Not sure if it’s because the user base is low and hence better performance or it has better capacity. However it is sucks as sometimes it will stick to 3G forever, even though the 4G signal is strong enough to be used.

Man TM should just do away the 3G/4G data allocation bullsh**. It's damn irritating that it keeps switching between 3G and 4G and sometimes it just sticks with 3G for no reason

QUOTE(4lt4ir @ Jul 5 2019, 12:10 AM) Same here. Just got my bebas prepaid sim today. So far ok la, but am unimpressed with the DL/UL speed that I'm getting. Celcom 4g is waaay faster at same location and using the same phone as hotspot. I guess it has some sort of speed restricting for hotspot sharing.

QUOTE(jsnhoh @ Aug 1 2019, 05:02 PM) Pros 1)Cheap and no need top up every month to stays active. 2) the quota u bought never expired ( excep tbose hr, weekly or monthly pass) Cons 1) coverage is not as good as other telco 2) will roam to celcom network if no 4g network. To be honest the coverage is not that bad. Maybe due to the properties of the LTE band that TM is using.

QUOTE(akagamishanks @ Sep 15 2019, 05:24 PM) one annoying thing about unifi mobile is when you use it inside a building/mall/office the 4g line suddenly dropped to 3G resulting to no internet. Do we have any solution with this? Yes it's very very annoying! I am constantly pushed to 3G and once it is in 3G mode, it will never go back to 4G even I am already in the coverage.

QUOTE(sinisterair @ Sep 22 2019, 04:45 PM) But band 5 is actually quite good... I get better signal in most places especially indoor (if TM bothers to install). My another Digi SIM sometimes will encounter dead corners in the shopping malls and highways

QUOTE(jsnhoh @ Nov 12 2019, 03:02 PM) Make sure iphone 6 supports band 5 lte. Try to download the unifi@mobile app first. Last time my friend tried to download but not prevailed Rest assured that iPhone 6 is pretty much capable to cover most of the LTE bands around the world.
