ZTE MF90: Band 1/3/7/8/20/38/40 (FDD 800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz TDD 2300/2600MHz)

Is this ZTE MF90 has the good band for unifi mobile?

this is my zte mf90 mifi box.. bought with tmgo starter pack back in 2015.. they also has usb modem for cheaper option, but i took mifi for better reception and it supports 10 devices..

i noticed that now online seller only offers mf90 without lte-fdd band 5 (850), but mine clearly stated band 3,5,7 and one lte-tdd band.. this only means that there are a few variants of this mifi, same as huawei's mifi which also different set of lte band for different region i guess.. hmm.gif

it served me well, 4 years now.. tmgo until unifi mobile.. but battery already changed after CNY after the original one pregnant and nearly giving birth.. huhuhu... laugh.gif

Thanks! Means for prepaid if suddenly no data at all because didn't realize quota finish then theres no way to buy additional data without searching for hostpot or wifi because the only way to buy it is just via the unifi app which itself needs data.
*
yup.. need to find other source for internet connection to log in.. btw, postpaid unifi 19, 29, 39 & 59 give u unlimited data at 128kbps after your main data finished (until end of monthly cycle)... icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes.. from what I see, it deducts 100mb first. If you use more than 100mb, another 100mb will be deducted. Only later the actual usage is calculated and any unused mb will be credited back to your quota.
*
.
i can confirm this.. it do happen sometimes.. if i checked a few times in a day, i would see the quota going down and up again.. but i can't tell at what time precisely..
.
i'm not saying the app is 100% correct, but if differ, not by much..
.
so i take it as is... whistling.gif

Which Unifi mobile data & call addon/plan is suitable for elderly users?
*
.
depends...
.
if u use only whatsapp + other messaging, i would say 2gb at rm15 can last few months (not expired as long as u use it bit by bit up to 90 days)..
.
my 5 pcs free sims still got around 17gb of data each, that from february 2018 i told u.. huhuhu.. just use it as a backup when yellow telco signal not good..
.
but.. a big BUT.. unsure.gif
.
really should avoid any kind of videos, whether thru messaging or youtube.. their data cost a fortune.. unless u want to spend rm20 for 7 days, u get unlimited data capped 7-8mbps speed (others said not me).. sweat.gif
.
then they also offer unifi postpaid starting from rm19, 29 and so on.. so many variables to consider.. rclxub.gif
.
think wisely... mega_shok.gif

Actually I do not intend to reload the sim. My intention is to keep the card active by utilizing the data it comes with, so that I can maintain the number at minimal cost.
*
.
i think it will serve u well.. as long u stay in their coverage.. u could set the phone/mifi to 4g only, so that it won't eat ur 3g quota (celcom 3g roam)..
.
some would do speedtest once in a while, juz to make the line active.. remember to use some bits of data in 90 days.. do something good, something bad, or a bit of both as star lord said.. huhuhu.. devil.gif
.
do try k...

Hi there, just wondering by any chance anyone knows how's the performance for unifi air around Desa Park City, Kepong?

I have just relocated and renting a small place over here. Been reading around this particular topic and was hoping to get the RM79 sim only plan for unifi air.

I am using Huawei B315-22 4G Broadband router and will buy a tp link deco E4 to enhance the coverage.

Perhaps any advise for me? tq tq bossess...sorry to bother everyone or perhaps this question has been asked before. cheers and appreciate it smile. smile.gif
*
.
Huawei B315s-22: 4G LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (FDD 800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz)and TD-LTE B38 (2600MHz)..
.
no band 5 for this version unlike 315s-608.. confused.gif
but band 38 support unifi air, depend on coverage..
not all places have band 38 & 40..
.
worst case, u need a new modem.. bangwall.gif
tenda/prolink will do..
check for band 5, 38 or 40.. sweat.gif
.
got more money, buy b818-263 from oversea..
or b618..
0r b525..
many more..
tq.

I’ve been having trouble with unifi bebas on this prolink PTT7011 past 2 weeks. Anyone has problem with this plan n this device?

Tonight unifi bebas can’t work on this device anymore. Digi works fine with this.

I tried another unifi SIM card and Yoodo SIM card but The device failed to cooperate. It only works with my digi prepaid.

Unifi says the SIM card  is meant for smart phones

Perhaps it’s a setting problem ? Anyone got solution?

.
r u on band 5 or 38/40?
my zte mf90 need to set apn to unifi..
some mifi no need to set anything..
some router/modem no need to set anything..

congested to the maaaxxxxx..
tahap dewa they said..

use to be working flawless last year..

On off bad connection. I realize at night on the PRT7011 tak jalan punya. Put the same sim on my phone, good connection straightaway.

Unifi probably IS moving towards to blocking mifi devices.

.
i'm using zte mf90 mifi for years now..
only for free penjana 1gb and free 20gb data from 2018..
peak hours u will see a drop in speed but usable..
.
the only explaination for ur case is, that PRT7011 not power enough to pull signal on peak hours..
ur phone more power..
depend on their chipset..
.
i hope they not blaocking mifis and routers..
but let see in future...

Another suggestion:

Bought this during 11.11 with RM289 + RM7.2 delivery cost. (D-LINK DWR-921 N300 3G / 4G LTE Wireless Router)

Started using it with Bebas Prepaid SIM card.
Working as expected even though slower around 3-4 mbps (max is 8mbps, but never achieve that).

this particular router actually very old in production..
yes.. they make a 2.0 version of it..
but the hardware inside still the same i guess.. hmm.gif
.
why? the design of the LED in front of router is different from the old version..
they may tweak a little on software UI as well..
.
one more.. if i remember correctly, this router DOES NOT support band 5 in 2013 1.0 version.. unsure.gif
maybe this new one has it..
.
d-link use to be giant in networking..
but i don't pick this one if i want one today..
even tp-link is better pick nowadays..
.
if money is no prob, go for huawei..
even the second hand one..
juz my 2 cents... icon_rolleyes.gif
