So Simple™ by SAMY is still giving 2.4% pa (as per they advertised in their website) now or 1.9% pa (with subsidy) or 1.4% pa as per email? rclxub.gif

Can anybody do some calculation?

Where's the transparency that they promise to adhere? hmm.gif

Stashaway is merely a feeder fund for Eastspring Investments Islamic Income Fund.

Based on the main fund performance as shown in
https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/m/factsheet/fund/MYESIIF

Last 1 month : 0.17% equivalent to 2.04% pa
Last 3 months : 0.54% equivalent to 2.16 pa

The ROI is updated on a daily basis on working days. So, the value can fluctuate.

If they cannot achieve the projected 2.4% pa, shouldn't they revise the projected return instead of still publishing 2.4% pa in their website? hmm.gif

I'm not questioning the return of the underlying fund; I'm curious of the transparency.

Given the current OPR rate and various money market funds out there, it's not easy to sustain short term rate at 2.4% pa.

to be frank, i really hope SA will change their operation to follow US holiday rather than local holiday, as they trade in the US market.

I remembered they do have support including weekends but your fund cannot be processed by local banks, local trustee and/or local forex brokerage which follow local federal holidays calendar.

it's not through system but manually managed by bank/trustee staff?  hmm.gif

Some external tasks require additional verification and manual intervention I believe.

Not easy to time the market.
Well, the drop is not as bad as March 2020.
There's plenty room for further downside.
