Hi, thanks for your sharing. Just wonder the "StashAway Simple" will it be higher interest rate / return than the Fixed Deposit. I go through the "StashAway Simple" it invest into Money Market Fund.

I have some questions to this "StashAway Simple" as below:

1. is it subject to the money market fund unit fluctuation ? If during the money market unit price low, withdraw money from StashAway Simple , will end up in capital loss ?
2. the fee (0.25% + 0.04%) , when will the fee charge ? During we withdraw the money from "StashAway Simple" ?
Thank you
*
1. Yes but the risk is low based on SAMY assessment: This is an investment, so there is a level of risk, but it’s incredibly low. The StashAway Risk Index for StashAway Simple™ is 1.8%. That means you have a 99% chance of not losing more than 1.8% of your AUM in a given year

2. The fee is deducted in daily basis when NAV is published.

IKR. Things go up and come down all the time. Stashaway is doing great in controlling volatility and ensure their investors dont implode on huge drop and withdraw prematurely.

We are not out of the crisis yet and there may be further gold bull run, but then we really dunno for sure. If stocks fall sharply again, then we gonna be glad gold and bonds are there to cushion the shock.

I read/heard a news on TV few days ago saying that Gold has a potential to rebound to above 2000 level by early 2021. laugh.gif

Anyone know what is time weighted return??

It's not XIRR... I dunno how they come up with the number
*
TWR is just simple return over time.
MWR is quite close to XIRR or IRR.

Not sure if already explained.

Let's say I create 2 portfolio.
1) Low risk
2) High risk.

So when I deposit an amount. The deposit amount will automatically split into the low risk and high risk portfolio or do I need to confirm which?
*
It depends on the ratio of your manual deposit setting.

FSM low risk is not really “low risk” in my definition. You could be going 1 step forward in good times and then 2 steps back in bad times.

FSM? Or SAMY?

hi,

I am newjoiner on SA, submitted funds on 25th (using jompay) still pending to go through account...wonder is that normal for new accounts and typically it would be faster later on? I know it did say 2-3 days processing time but i did hear some of you got the funds to appear really fast (in a day).

Has your fund completed the currency conversion (to USD) stage?

Bear in mind that yesterday was Thanksgiving in US and there's no equity trading in US overnight.

If it is completed, your BUY order will be placed tonight.

There's a 0.1% conversion fee.

Plus forex and ETF pricing movement if your order has been executed (completed).

Forex & ETF price movement come later after your order has completed.
Your ETF buy price may not be the same as ETF day closing price.
