We’ve updated our Terms and Conditions
As part of our continued efforts to improve your investing experience with us, we’ve made some changes to the way we execute trade orders. First, instead of placing our buy and sell orders directly in the markets when we receive those orders, we may net the buy orders against the sell orders before placing your orders in the markets. This will enhance our operational efficiency so that we can get you the best possible price on your trades. You can find these changes on Clauses 8.3 and 8.4 in our Account Opening Agreement. We only net amongst StashAway Malaysia clients. You can learn more about our netting process here. Second, we’re making changes that will process your deposits and withdrawals much more quickly. For every transaction, we always compare the Initially Settled Amount (ISA) and the Actual Transaction Amount (ATA) to make sure that there isn’t a discrepancy between the settled amount on your portfolio and the actual amount. We used to wait to process the transactions after we received the ATA, which was received at T+1. To speed up your transactions, we’re now using your ISA to process the transactions. So now, when the ATA comes in, we’ll look to assess the difference between the ATA and ISA. If it’s negligible, we won’t make any changes, and so the ISA will stand. If the difference isn’t negligible, then we’ll correct the transaction amount such that it matches the ATA. This updated process makes your transactions faster because the ISA is available immediately, compared to the ATA that isn’t available until we receive the end-of-day files that are generated only once the US markets open and close the following day. If you’re curious what constitutes “negligible” (Acceptable Tolerance Threshold, “ATT”), you can check that out here. https://lnk.stashaway.com/u/nrd.php?p=2WNWF...3&ems_l=3768323 As for next steps, you don’t need to do anything to accept these changes. By using StashAway from 17 November 2020 onwards, you agree to our updated Terms and Conditions. We do, however, suggest that you still read the updated Terms and Conditions in full. T&C: https://lnk.stashaway.com/u/nrd.php?p=2WNWF...4&ems_l=3768323 You can find the complete Terms and Conditions here. QUOTE(CassMei @ Nov 11 2020, 10:07 AM) Got these from their website on stashaway simple FAQ; It is basically telling that the risk is very low at 1.8%. "This is an investment, so there is a level of risk, but it’s incredibly low. The StashAway Risk Index for StashAway Simple™ is 1.8%. That means you have a 99% chance of not losing more than 1.8% of your AUM in a given year" "StashAway Simple™ projected returns are the sum of the amortised yield from the underlying fund, minus fees charged by the underlying fund managers, plus any rebates." I get the gist of how it works but when I read all these, my brain scrambled dy. What's AUM, amortised yield and does it matter, or at least how would it affect me? The chance of not losing > 1.8% of your valuation is 99%. There's a 1% of chance that the fund will swing into loss of > 1.8% of your valuation. |
