Not really time, per se, but to add value to whatever money depositing, by depositing before/after weekly announcements from the gov etc..

Don't forget there's still one effect that you may have overlooked which is the MYR-USD forex effect even though it could be negligible if your DCA amount is small.

Also do note that the MYR-USD movement is also rather volatile too in the past months/weeks.

Sorry. Couldve checked myself. Should I be concerned when I get less when convert MYR to USD? Used to be RM500 = $120. Now its RM500 = $114
*
Isn't this concern that I have raised that raised before?

MYR vs USD is rather volatile in recent weeks.

But as I said if your DCA amount is small, the effect could be insignificant.

Not something that we can control either lmao

You're right. Either you can just DCA as usual.
Or you time the market.

Timing the market seems a little tough:

1. SAMY inconsistency
2. MYR-USD movement
3. US market movement prediction and expectation based on macroeconomic news

Any guide how to transfer the fund from account 2 to stasgaway?

Thanks.
*
Use iLestari to withdrawal to your CASA.
From CASA you can do a direct debit/fund transfer/JomPay to SAMY.

Ooo did not know can use EPF to invest in StashAway too, is it same as using EPF invest in Fund Supermart?
Which is utilizing Account 1 right?
*
Not same.
iLestari is out from your Account II.
Meaning the money is withdrawn to your designated CASA during registration.

Sorry er what is CASA?
Since withdraw from Account 2, let say RM3k then its withdraw RM3k?
Cause the fundsupermart I reckon is utilizing Account 1 to minus a fix basic saving figure (depends on age)
then up to 30% of the remaining figure can be utilize for investment
*
CASA: Current Account/Saving Account
Yes for Account II
Yes for EPF-MIS Account I as there's restriction up to 30% of your excess saving in Account I.

At risk rating of 8% and 10%, SAMY still invests in XLV.

Once risk rating drops to 6.5%, XLV gone. Somehow, GLD is still there.

I don’t quite understand how it works. How come there’s no movement at all since yesterday and today? Even on Saturday there’s movement.
Anyone can enlighten me?

US market closes on weekends (Malaysia Sunday and Monday); i.e no trading activity.
Malaysia Saturday is US Friday.

NYSE time is 12 hours apart (DST starts) from us.

Edit your existing portfolio by changing risk lever.
You should be able to spot the changes.

Opening account doesn't mean you will invest.
Some just opened the account and employing wait-and-see approach.

Does anyone have any breakdown on the portfolio for Stashaway lowest risk settings?

I'm planning to use Stashaway lowest risk settings sort of like an FD in USD, assuming Stashaway puts the money in US Bonds.
