QUOTE(AllnGap @ Mar 10 2019, 12:00 PM) So those expensive conti cars will skid first due to wider tyres ?? All else equal.... You don't la compare different cars. Not even talking about conti or Jap. During heavy rain until cannot see anything, I drive on right lane about 90-100 on highway With my thumb hold steering. The water puddle on one side did not drag car at all. How you wanna drive is your problem. Just don't menyusahkan orang. edit link : can take it up with them if you want https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tread-and-t...lk/hydroplaning This post has been edited by tbcheese: Mar 10 2019, 01:11 PM |

QUOTE(mushigen @ Mar 10 2019, 11:14 AM) Won't wider tyres increase chances of hydroplaning, instead of the other way round? this must be another idiot dupe who doesn't know how to reply in /k/. kids these days. What are you doing in /k at 12.48am when you are supposed to be in bed at 10pm? Reliable yes. Stable, no so. I owned one too. The Toyota in question is the NCP150 belonging to another chap who said he'd change car soon because his does not have ESC when he bought it in 2015. Hence, I asked why he didn't choose Honda City V spec that came with ESC at that time. When you are hardworking to get what you want, you won't want everything wiped out in an accident. It will be meaningless you are killed or maimed because you choose to drive a cheap car just to target another property. There is no such thing as freak accident. |

Car doesn't look badly damaged, the impact seems very minimal - there has been worse accidents in worse cars with little or no injuries.
Possible reasons for such a serious outcome: 1. Didn't wear seat belt or seat belt faulty 2. Takata airbag faulty, didn't send back for recall 3. Intoxicated - causes blood vessels to dilate, making blood loss worse Not trying to pass judgement, I'm very sorry that she passed away. I'm trying to understand why someone can be fatally injured in what looks like a minor crash. Looking at the interior, the place looks fairly intact. The steering looks like it has risen up a bit but doesn't look like it has come inwards towards the driver. Dashboard, A-Pillar - all looks normal. Hard to say whether or not she was intoxicated, people like this may do singing gigs cafes and bars until late night - or she could just have been going somewhere for whatever reason. Don't tell me you have never in your life driven your car late at night for reasons other than being drunk? Kinda stupid right? This post has been edited by DeniseLau: Mar 10 2019, 02:43 PM |
