QUOTE(Wedchar2912 @ Dec 4 2023, 04:02 PM) Just sharing the logic. What a member elect is not the actual contribution rate, but the additional top up rate. Ie, if a member elect 10%, then the full contribution rate by employee will be 10% + whatever the statutory rate is by gov. Yes. To me it makes more sense to implement the new account 3 with a default percentage across the board, then let people adjust it if they want (like reduce acc 3 contribution to 0%).

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Dec 5 2023, 12:01 AM) Surprisingly (or not), those who has opt for voluntary excess contribution are not affected during that period. Let's presume I opt for 20% employee, it just keeps deducting 20% without me opt in or out. How I know ? Cause I've been contributing extra for so many years and I track my EPF. So for those employed and don't want to be bothered by opt in/out, just try employee at maybe 15% which won't have much monetary impact for the additional 4% If gungho, go for 80% Err... no. See above reply. Also you need to enter that exact employee % figure in that Borang KWSP 17A, not top up rate. My company decided to remain the same employee contribution for all staff during that period, and I'm sure it's not the only company that did that.

QUOTE(Rinth @ Dec 5 2023, 09:16 AM) By right employer cannot "decide" for employee....the reduction to 9% is by law and its employee's own decision whether to maintain at 11%or not, if want to maintain at 11%, your employer will give you a form to sign on it and employer will submit the form to EPF as proof to maintain. But well all is past tense already lol Yes, they did pass the form for everyone to sign.

QUOTE(maxxng12 @ Jan 22 2024, 01:57 PM) for EPF contribution if the mandatory contribution by employer employee has exceeded 100k, can we put in the money via voluntary contribution? --- meaning another 100k under the category of voluntary contribution. or the total inflow capped @ 100k per year? 100k limit is for voluntary contribution, nothing to do with mandatory contribution by employer and employee.

QUOTE(Leroi2x @ Jan 22 2024, 07:10 PM) The withdrawal amount will the taken from Account 2 and will be placed into a Special Account for your monthly loan instalment payment and its dividend will be credited into your Account 2 after the yearly dividend declarationFrom my understanding is that the money will move to a special account for monthly installments , but will the fund in the special account still calculate for dividend or not ? I never withdraw for housing loan before, but isn't the bold part already answer your question?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jan 26 2024, 08:03 AM) That where my doubt arises... How EPF know which is which?? Let say, u got i-saraan, i-suri & even that account 1 additional contribution.... So totally 3 under your account.... EPF rule says everything combined is 100k limit... 🤔 i-saraan is for those without fixed income (no employer contribution) i-suri is for those housewife (need register) acc 1 top up is contribute to other people epf account They are mutually exclusive. Easy for epf to distinguish the type of voluntary contribution. This post has been edited by poweredbydiscuz: Jan 26 2024, 08:30 AM

QUOTE(MUM @ Jan 26 2024, 08:41 AM) So it meant they can "auto" direct your self contribution to the "right" channel for the you? What if, I had been receiving monthly employer contribution but I had just become unemployed and I now do self contribution... If "auto" by kwsp, then my self contribution will not be channel to I saraan or approve my I sarran as in kwsp record I had been getting contribution from employment? When did i said auto? They need to approve your i-saraan before you are eligible, right? This post has been edited by poweredbydiscuz: Jan 26 2024, 08:44 AM

QUOTE(MUM @ Jan 26 2024, 08:55 AM) Another scenario of what if, I sarran had been approved due to prolonged unemployment..but I just got employed again 2 weeks ago. I do self contribution, ...kwsp will channel my self contribution to I saraan even I am employed? It's your duty to update them if you are employed. QUOTE(MUM @ Jan 26 2024, 09:15 AM) Why should I contact them when it is their cleverness that do auto channelling of my self contribution? I deposit my self contribution, they do the auto channeling without asking " where to"? BTW, top up parent kwsp is considered as self contribution by the son too? I don't know what's so hard to understand. If you are currently approved for i-saraan, you self contribution will of course eligible for i-saraan incentive, because a person with i-saraan status won't be eligible for i-suri, and vice versa. What's so "clever" about this? As for contributing to other person, obviously it won't be eligible for i-saraan incentive. I will stop here as I don't think there's any more that need to be clarified. This post has been edited by poweredbydiscuz: Jan 26 2024, 09:23 AM

QUOTE(leanman @ Feb 2 2024, 01:36 PM) Did KWSP web had a new UI? it looks different to me from the last I logged in, maybe last week. And now, self contribution can also be done via web and I remembered it can only be done via apps only. I cannot see anything on my investment related account? Yes, they follow the apps UI. Doesn't look good on big screen imo.
