Alexkos,
Hi,
can comment any summary after so many posts of update?

Which one is better broker for this S&P 500 ETF?
CapTrader or TradeStation?
What is the best method (cheapest cost) to transfer the fund, for typical Malaysia and for individual with Singapore bank account (Malaysian working in Singapore).

If not mistaken, TradeStation has an inactivity fee of $50 if less than 5x transaction per year.
And need to becareful if any data that you have subcribed that may be charged for some fees.

Is all European and London have 15% witholding tax,
while US is with 30% witholding tax?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Poems singapore is allowing payment by fast transfer now. Tat means Cimb fast saver will be able to perform transaction to poems now. Neednt to have maybank sg account anymore
https://www.poems.com.sg/payment/

Seems like gooding for parking in Index fund for S&P500 or MSCI world first. While accumulating money to buy a big lot of SP500 ETF via tradegblobal.

Yes. Uncle Sam bully. If malaysia straight buy US shares, 30% dividend tax kena....

So cheapest for us is to buy Ireland domiciled fund, 15% je.

Say first, pls hoot sp500 only after considering your asset allocation.

Eg. 50/50 asset allocation. Means 50% hoot equity, 50% hoot fixed income.

Alex duwan see ppl here hoot too much equity. When market downturn, Fuiyo I tell you..... Just see 2008 as lesson.

Tradestation and Tradestation Global.. is there any difference?
Anyway, the fee thing i am asking.. Don't seem to be able to find any info online? (or i can't find it?)

From the fee u mentioned, generally if less capital, TradeStation >> CapTrader lo?

TradeStation is US market only (US domicile, with SIPC protection), TradeStation Global covers US and outside (UK domicile, regulated by FCA)

Fees, or rather broker commission I'm assuming you were referring to:
https://www.tradestation-international.com/...ng-commissions/

Er, why 50/50? That's a risk profile for a person in the 50's gliding into retirement

Ah roar... Hehe... I study behavioral finance. I don't want to overestimate my confidence in 2008 scenario. So 50/50 for now until I see a real recession myself.

I also got Tradestation global liao. Awaiting funding. Once approve, will upload more info.

In the mean time, huat arrrrr
