My BTU blinking red at LOS after unplugging and plugging the fiber cable. Cos cleaning etc. Huawei brand GPON terminal.

Just installed unifi 2 days ago...called unifi to reset but still LOS. What's wrong at?

i don't need disconnect cable if my table want clean so BTU will shake and scared fiber cable if shake will damage ???

i can disconnect rj45 and power but wont touch fiber cable
so btu will move shake my hand for during clean table once table clean finish btu will be table plug rj45 and power

BTW the btu unit got 4 Lan port. Port 1 to router, port 4 to stb
2 more port can untilize for what else??

Guys, wanna ask if my new house has already has the fibre cable ready with the FWS just need to connect to BTU and modem, can I just move the equipment and plug in and it will work? Or still need to get uniform technician to come?

New termination procedure I learned today, w.e.f. 1/6/19.

When you submit a termination request online, TM will automatically terminate your service on Day 31. You have 5-7days to return the modem to TM Point, if not you kena fined RM500 for the modem.

As per D-Link max speed for 2.4 is 300mbps but I’m getting only about 10% of the speed... any way to improve it.?

Any one can release the Unifi port ?

Home user? Your local area network will be bounded to private IP and will only be translated to public IP once it exits the gateway.

If you want to access your CCTV remotely from outside, then u can consider to perform port forwarding to open that desired port.

Hello sifus, can mesh wifi work with Hypptv/ Unifitv? My router is at ground floor but Hypptv/ Unifitv is at second floor. I heard mesh wifi can make it work. How to do it?

I am using powerline currently but thre connection is not stable, always lag and cut off 

I read on another thread which says if I upgrade my router from the stock one given by TM can connect Hypptv/ Unifitv through wireless? But don't really understand how it works lol

PS Attach with ethernet not possible, so need to use innovative solutions

Hi guys..Thanks for the replies. TM technician visited my house today. Turns out the cables are the problems. All my cables are labeled Cat 5E, but it turned out only some of it really support the correct speeds. I guess the rests are incorrectly labeled (probably fake). Feels quite relieved now that I know the problem.

Hi need help with Unifi problem, since this week Monday my Unifi modem lost connection every morning until afternoon (around 6 am until 12 pm).

Modem is Huawei 8240w. For info, mine is landed fibre line.

When connection lost, the AUTH light normal (no light normally) but the TEL1 light blinking slowly and LINK light blinking rapidly.

When I try to restart to solve problem, the AUTH light and TEL1 light blinking slowly. After around 5-10 min the AUTH light turns off and the LINK light blinking rapidly.

Anyone got this problem before? Strange for me because it happens everyday since this Monday. I think not cable problem because it works from afternoon until next day early morning but super annoying.

edit: I think not router problem because I'm the only ppl using Unifi in the house and I'm the only ppl with the router & unifi password/account info. Wifi got relative use but they only come to my house on holiday so its usually only me using it.

Just bought a 2ndhand D-Link DIR882 (TIME fibre set) which comes with 3.5.8tt firmware for my 800mbps Unifi.

Been bugging with it for a few days and couldn’t manage to get it work.

Did I make a wrong purchase or is there anything I might be missing?

Hi all , i got free turbo upgrade since dec 2018 , today i got message from Unifi
asking me claim my free equipment upgrade , then i do proceed and login and claim it
it stated router replacement comes with extended 2 years contract , if buy from
unifi it cost RM 188++ , and i already proceed to take it , after messaging with
UNifi facebook then realise it did not comes with modem but the website do shows
picture of modem with router .

currently my modem took 10 - 15 ++ mins to turn on , and some issues with connecting with some smartphones so i would like to change it.
should i just call 100 to ask them to change the request order to include the modem
or what?? will it extend the contract even more , last time i replace my STB which
cost RM300 but only extend 1 year contract , but how come RM 188++ router
cost me 2 years contract?

we've been using unifi since 2011.
but they will contact me for the confirmation for contract renewal ? then i ask them for a modem replacement or even a STB?
or i need to call 100 before i got the exact date they will come, everytime calling 100 = nightmares ,so calling 100 will be the last option.
or when the service people come they just take a new modem out of their van?(highly doubt it)

What is stb and which router you recomend if budget not an issue?

I am currently on RM99 for 50 Mbps, internet only since Dec 2018. I downgraded to this as they could not Turbo Boost me up to 500 Mbps since I am in an old appartment with copper cables and running VDSL. Is this pretty much still the case with current technology?

For the past couple of weeks, I have had intermittent internet service disconnection - there isn't an internet connection but my LAN is fine. I have my own ASUS router. If I restart both the router and the modem, the connection comes back.

The TM guys came today and said it is likely an issue with the modem. They said to replace it, they would need for me to renew my contract. I said I thought it was renewed when I changed packages end Dec since my contract had already expired then. However, they said in their system records, I did not renew my contract then. As such, to get a modem replacement I would have to renew now and lock myself in for another 2 years counting from today. My account details on the Unifi site say I have been on this package since Nov 2017 but that was the date of the Thank You speed upgrade from 30 Mbps to 50 Mbps so I am pretty sure I am not under contract if they say it wasn't renewed when I did the downgrade end 2018.

So is this RM 99 for 50 Mbps, internet only package the best I can do bearing in mind that I cannot be upgraded to higher speeds? I do not really care about Hypp TV but wouldn't mind the free calls.

I recall reading on previous pages that there are people paying the same ie. RM 99 for 500 Mbps plus some TV package (not that i care for that really) and free calls.
