hi,

i been turbo upgraded to 100mbps and still paying rm149..

to adjust it to rm129, i MUST renew contract?
*
Yes, you probably have to.

QUOTE(mikey8811 @ Aug 7 2019, 12:31 AM)
They did cancel my complaint as resolved after 2 hours and did not give me the refund saying the On Site Support charge was applicable. I called 100 again and created a new case. They cancelled it the next day and emailed me a pamphlet saying the options were either to renew the contract or to pay the non warranty site support charge of RM 53.

This is really strange because in the pamphlet they detail a procedure whereby I have to agree and sign off on the charge. I was also supposed to receive a statement to that effect via email. I did NOT sign off on the charge nor receive any statement until I got my bill.

The pamphlet has reworded the equipment under warranty. They now issue a single unit "gateway" which is both a modem and the router. This unit now only has a 1 year warranty unlike the old modem and separate router where the modem had a lifetime warranty and the router a one year warranty.

Either way, I reiterated that they can reconfigure their hardware as they like but they were still obligated to provide me with a stand alone modem under warranty as I do not use their router. i also didn't sign a contract with the current "gateway" configuration.

It pisses me off that TM can act unilaterally and think they can charge you whatever they want to unjustifiably. They just cancel complaints they are too lazy to solve or do not want to solve at will.

I lodged a fresh complaint at 100. If they do not refund the charge, I will lodge a complaint at the MCMC. After all it isn't a lawless society where they can do whatever they please.
*
Good luck.

Question, if I upgrade plan in the middle of the month will the bill be pro-rated? Or the upgrade can only take effect next month?
*
Next month.

QUOTE(cba5566 @ Aug 7 2019, 08:48 AM)
Use bitcomet 1.57 now.
Anyone know why peer ip change to 175.143.*.*
..... earlier show 175.143.50.60:12350  , this was connecting to the peerer. All the peerer connected show like that.
I have uninstall and re-install bitcomet, result still the same.
Anyone know what is the problem ? t.q.
*
I would recommend utorrent or Vuze, or even Deluge, over BitComet.

using steamyx 384kbps rm60 for more than 10 years... last few years always received call from Unifi ask me upgrade to Unifi with price more than rm1xx, and rejected by me...

recently heard news regarding Unifi Lite rm69 for existing streamyx customer whom area don't covered by fibre. Do I eligible for Unifi Lite rm69 since my area have both copper and fibre option?

by the way, what is SUBB and HSBB means?
*
You should go to TMPoint and ask/negotiate for best option for you. You can Google for SUBB and HSBB terms. It is easier to read for yourself.

AC2300 is a good router. I would recommend that.

QUOTE(draco072 @ Aug 9 2019, 12:19 AM)
That is the exact thing that i am worried about. I have been anti Mxxxx since the beginning of time, even my friend who worked with them for more than 10 years told me not to switch coz M piggyback on TM and if there is a problem, it takes ages to solve, he said this because he had a friend whose problem took 1 month to solve, when complain to M, M have to check with TM, then check with client to see which party is fauty, and it goes around the world to solve a problem.

Anyway, my situation is I am paying RM232 for a 30MB line where i cannot upgrade further, if I were to switch to their new 30MB package, 1st i will be tied into the new 24 months contract. 2nd, it has a 60GB quota, and hypptv need to sub separately. I don't watch tv but family members does. My current mobile is with C, where i am paying around RM 90 a month for 30gb quota. makes the total to be RM 322.

If I switch to M prime, means i sub their lowest package 30mb for RM 89 and 1 mobile line (which i can port mine over) for RM 98 that makes the total of RM187 and both home and mobile will be unlimited internet quota.

so, (TM+C)-M = RM135 savings.

so, the numbers looks great, only setback is worrying that if there are problems, it takes ages to solve. I read in many other threads, they said that if current TM line is good then M will be good. true fact, my current TM line sucks, constant DC, drops, lags. I am guessing if i switch, I am getting the same problem.

The only pro side is the savings.
The con side is the technical support.

TIME isn't available so I can''t consider that.

Hiah...headache

Just subscribe to the RM159 100Mbps plan with included HyppTV Ultimate Pack. Problem solved.

yeah i wanted to do that, but their CS told me my place not supported so i cannot sub to that package. I''m staying in an old condo, copper cable, so max they can give me is 30mb speed, I don't even get the free booster like everyone else had
*
Nego with them to get 30Mbps unlimited plus HyppTV Ultimate for a good price. Go to TMPoint and nego.

That connection speed is a theoretical max speed. It is not the accurate speed that you can achieve.

Observing this for long time, recently my FB access is buffled ie the page takes a while to load when connecting with UNIFI at home, but no issue with mobile data from Maxis.

Any tips how to solve this?

I am on 500 mbps, with the router from TM.
*
You should disable IPv6. That is usually the issue.

Try the Virtual Server section, or read the manual on the TP-Link website.

What router are you using now? There should be a IPv6 section somewhere.

Recently I've been having an issue where Unifi disconnects randomly every few hours (suddenly there is no internet access, even though the router is still connected). Then it will re-connect and everything is okay again. What is the best way to troubleshoot this issue?
*
Sounds like you are using the TP-Link C1200 v1. Time to buy your own and change routers.

Router was reset last night, and it happened again this morning. Noticed in Windows it still shows 'connected', but 'No internet connection' for 1-2 minutes, and then it reconnects with a new IP. I'm more inclined to think it's a Unifi problem, but how do I prove it? Speed is fine; signal strength is max (full bars); it just keeps getting disconnected / reconnected randomly every few hours

p.s : router firmware is always updated, but I don't think that's the problem here
*
Try with another router first and see if that issue is still happening. If it is not happening with another router, time for you to RMA for your Asus router.

Hi guys, sorry if not the correct thread. This morning I received a phone call from TM saying they wanna change my modem for free. I remembered that the Turbo thing, my house is eligible. Currently on the Unifi 300mpbs package at RM189/month. Question is, since my Unifi bill is already showing my package at 300 mbps, why do I still need the modem change?

Sorry for the noob question yea.
*
Your old modem might it support gigabit speed. Read 1at page, 1st post, green text.

Change cable to Cat 6. Your cable might not be of good quality.

i just relocate my unifi from vdsl to fiber.
still using my old vdsl package (RYE2017/30mbps+ultimate)

original modem+router+wifi (ZTE ZXHN H267A)

now relocate, TM just give Huawei BTU ONU. link to previous ZTE ZXHN H267A as gateway router.

can i flash the ZTE ZXHN H267A with new firmware?  hmm.gif
as the ZTE ZXHN H267A cannot set DNS in default TM provided firmware.

I suggest buying your own router.

Nope. They used back the vdsl zte.
After they installed at hall near tv onu+router, i relocated it under my stair. Roughly center of house.
Now the black fiber drop cable gulung² like no tomorrow... 😂

2.4ghz ok. 5ghz kinda low signal inside rooms.

Btw, can we diy cut the fiber? I see the sc-sc connector can be bought.. but cutting it need special tools?
*
If I were you, I would get a good router myself, rather than wait for them to give you a basic router. You can’t diy cut the fiber. It is very fragile, and you will need to know how to do it properly. It can theoretically be done without special tools, but I would NOT recommend it.

Hi all,

I'm on 100mbps. My problem is when I run the speed test via wired, I get below 50mbps. For TM technician using their notebook, they get 102mbps. Both test using the same LAN cable cat 5e.

What can be the problem at my end?

TIA, have a great weekend

Cheers!

You should do that. Go to a TMPoint and nego for a transfer to a cheaper plan.
