Maybe unrelated to unifi, but I need help in solving mdns issue (unsure if it is router fault or IGMP snooping/proxy/V3 issue)

Recently...... I discover my phone is getting very hot and draining battery for no reason. Betterbatterystat displayed wifi = 100% and wlan_rx_wake is very active 
The ancient guide on google/xdaforums about solving wlan_rx_wake is useless ( disabling IP Helper etc) because the result from phone tcpdump ( I adb into the phone )

The problem is.....192.168.0.1 is the router itself.

Remember when I wrote Archer C1200 is banging hard on my every devices on netbios port 137? Turn out Archer A6 also does the same. 

Except this time, there is magnitude of mdns requests originating from the A6 router every 10 seconds to all my connected devices.
I disconnected every other devices (LAN devices + wireless devices) from the router except my phone and still......mdns request is coming from the router every 10 seconds.

edit: 192.168.0.96 is my phone ip address. The router also sent netbios request to every connected devices. NETBIOS request = every 1 minute. Mdns = every 10 seconds.....my phone battery life..... It get worse if I turn on IPv6.....Double the pain.

Wasn't this supposed to be fixed many months ago by Google?
Beside, with only my phone being connected to the router, the phone still getting mdns from 192.168.0.1 router.

Previously I am using Streamyx 1Mbps under my name and got Unifi on last week under my brother name
I think I need to terminate the Streamyx, no such as converting automatically right?

So, I need to go to TMpoint and terminate it on, working days?? Any more convenient ways?

hi guys, I am currently using streamyx and I called 100 to subscribe unifi 100mbps @RM129. the operator told me that installer may go to your house if needed.

To my surprise I asked him, "isn't it need installer as currently I don't have fiber optic installed to my house?"  His answer is " because you are upgrading existing account and your area is already upgraded so no may not need to install"
Does this even make sense?

Hi, I would like to ask if this is normal, my unifi was turbo'ed from 10mbps to 100mbps, with tm speedtest i'm getting 90-99mbps download speed, but with speedtest.net or downloading i only get 30-40mbps(never more than 40mbps) download speed, is this normal?

hey it happen again, this is what I meant with the ARcher A6 router, the internet light will turn orange and I get disconnected. to wait for it to re-connect would take about 1 min++. Based on the pic, do u think its the router or unifi problem?

Not sure, but i heard people im sg seem to prefer google wifi or tplink deco/asus lyra and the like...

but the maxis version is higher speced, 4x4ac quantenna instead of 3x3ac broadcom. Hopefully quantenna can deliver aztech 7008 level of speed

if i have 2 computer connected via CAT6 cables to TMNET TP-Link C1200. about how fast can i expect to transfer files between those computers?

if i don't have a good laptop or desktop  to test my full capacity of unifi speed, how do i test apart from requesting TM to come and test with their own laptop ?

borrowing a decent laptop from someone is not an option here...

I had a livechat session with Unifi today - agent advised only downgrade get 2 years contract renewal, but upgrade does not.

Guys..is it not possible to subscribe to 50mbps plan?

So my condo doesn't support fibre yet and I am still on RM179 package for 50mbps (since it cant be turboed). TM CS told me I can't "downgrade" to the 100mbps package as its only for fibre so I am left with the RM79 one with 60gb cap. Is there any other option for me or I will need to continue paying for this expensive un-turbo internet 

On my router, it says my IP address is 100.80.x.xxx, but whatismyip shows 175.142.xx.xx. Is this a problem ? I called my Unifi, and they said we are using a Dynamic Public IP.

They also said only 100mbps has the public IP and cctv remote access, whereas 30mbps does not. Can someone confirm this ?

Yeah seems like it. What can I do here ? Upgrade my plan to  100mbps , since I was told 30mbps cant support cctv remote access.

Or call them  ask them to give me a public IP ?

Even on Streamyx previously, I can request public IP and get it

TM only gives static public IP for business users, not home users. We still need to rely on DDNS.

30mbps (seem to bypass the 60gb quota and used until 130GB finally the quota system kick in)

i'm using asus ddns and the router ip is not the same with asus ddns ip

i have to manually kick in the ip address in vpn site to watch streaming site such as "crunchyroll"

before the unifi quota system, there is no problem reching oversea streaming site.
