guys, anyone know if the new unifi packages rm129 with unifi tv app login whether can be used in existing STB?

If u have existing stb try contact unifi and ask them to bind ur stb with the new acc.

I always use the Guide button to see the programs on all the channels.

all can be 'kawtim' at tm point .. not at call centre .. twitter or sales agent

yes, old silver STB box no change.

those with old silver boxes haven't been migrated... maybe never, until u change to new STB.



as for the apk, the new one will not work - get message "your account haven't been migrated".

it works fine on the usual devices - tablets, phones, compatible boxes.

BUT... bad news... it does NOT work on AndroidTV devices - ATV tv's, mibox included.

crap... unifi seems following astro footsteps to stop their app from being used on TV's.

I've downgraded from unifi 300mbps Turbo upgrade 2018 (RM139/mth) to unifi 100mbps (RM129/mth) on the #paynothing campaign. You can still use your existing STB, no need to go to TMPoint & ask them to link it again (I've asked the customer service beforehand). Loving the 3 months free bills! 😋

Why TM not update Android instead?
White STB has been forever stuck with obselete Android 4.4

The current white STB doesn't support Android upgrade, so they need to stick to Android 4.4. Since they're launching new STB next year, they expect the subscribers to replace their STB with the new one (Android 9.0).

for a certain chipset, there is only so much u can upgrade.

almost all android4 chipsets cannot get to even android5.

those started with 5 are capped at 7, some can go to 6 only.

current ones are at 9 but unlikely they can go 10.
