QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Oct 14 2020, 06:25 PM) Hi guys, I presume you guys are using the white stb? Does the epg work properly on your stb (scrolling properly)? On the latest version (released around September) 'no subtitle' option is available, not on the prev version. Can I check what is the software version after the upgrade? I just got one this morning changing the old interface to the black interface Many thanks! |

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Oct 14 2020, 10:42 PM) I don't even know whether mine is the latest software version This https://gfycat.com/velvetypeskyatlanticblackgoby does not happen on your stb, the orange box disappearing after scrolling for a while?I only tried switching channels by pressing the channel + / - keys on the remote and it still takes few seconds to react smallgiantUPDATE: EPG works as intended (no lagging when navigating among programmes in the EPG programme table) and 'no subtitle' is available when selecting subtitle language. Also noticed PIP feature is gone! I notice that this will happen when scrolling to where there's only one program showing on a row (~10 sec mark on the video); thought it was a bug in the software. Might be printing error? and can't get information on SOC S905C1 whether it is DDR3 or DDR4 ![]() |

QUOTE(vassilius @ Jan 30 2023, 08:55 PM) Recently I used Unifi TV apps to watch live TV... my God, why the performance so fucking rubbish?? Very frequent picture hang but audio continues background, have to switch channel to trigger it back. Sometimes, the whole apps even hang and need to force restart the device... wtf have to restart almost daily, the app is absolute garbage. time shift functions are particularly risky, i'm terrified of using those now, hit fast forward twice, boom crash, have to reboot.Anyone experiencing this?? |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jan 30 2023, 10:04 PM) ya, pls state yr device, so that we all know. I'm using the official box, the hybrid plus box. It's the stupid playtv app, no crashes when using disney, youtube apps etc, it's just when using the playtv app.it is likely some devices aren't optimized for this app or the device OS is obsolete for latest unifitv app. for newer smart TVs running on AndroidTV or GoogleTV, it is problem free. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jan 31 2023, 06:47 PM) if the official unifitv box is giving trouble, that's a big big shame. have not complained, don't know where to since they shutdown the forum, + they'll probably ask me to clear the cache (standard response), or offer to send technicians, when it's obviously app problem. I complained about the tiny subtitles on twitter, subtitles are still tiny, so why bother? The really annoying thing is when the app crashes, it'll usually take the entire box down with it, requiring restart, which of course takes a long time.what do they say when u complain? makes me uninterested in any of their new offers with new boxes!! off topic but their unifi mobile app is also garbage, takes literally 1 minute to open on my phone (s10, not the latest but not exactly potato) doubleM2 liked this post

QUOTE(wiraone @ Feb 12 2023, 08:09 PM) Anyone with UPB v2? I'm getting kind of disconnection problem with this box. Suddenly the TV noise coming up on my TV and the UPB kind of going crazy, when pressing any button, both blue and red LEDs coming out from the box. Restarting the box, it goes to usual Android TV and then gave the same white noise screen on the TV. Is this UPB really problematic? I have to deal with all sort of bs on almost daily basis. Now sometimes the volume is either loud or off, few days ago audio came out distorted, had to restart. Only the tv app is affected, disney+ is ok, so it's prob their app is buggy. |

Anyone else annoyed by the compressed, tiny subtitles on plus box? Pain in the ass to read. I complained, still no action.

Any idea why bilibili doesn't work on plus box, it says no internet. Can't be China only since it works on browser.

QUOTE(sktch @ May 3 2023, 02:20 PM) There are no fixes, the app is just garbage, I have to restart the box almost daily now, because when the app crashes it'll take down the entire box with it. QUOTE(jusbella @ May 3 2023, 02:57 PM) If you using unifi TV apps den there is no way to fix. As in its Android apps. The app runs like crap on the official box (I have the 2nd gen box, the hybrid one). Not sure about Unifi UltraBox, if there is no issue then its seems like their engineering / programming team is focus on their ultra box and extensive RnD on that box only, which means only focus on that box chipset only rather than their apps for universal hardware. Seems like they force us to use their UltraBox rather than other box / smartTV / smartphone etc.... That's my thoughts, correct me if wrong. jusbella liked this post

QUOTE(Iptvfan @ May 14 2023, 02:02 PM) The upb is fine for me now. I realise the issue was my settings. Always restart etc. so i tweak the settings all well. What settings did you tweak? The bpx is going to be more and more powerful as they keep upgrading the firmware esp with comimg netflikk launch. As i can see they keep upgrading the box. QUOTE(wiraone @ May 14 2023, 12:37 PM) I don't have UPB v1, but I got UPB v2 when I upgraded my package to Ultimate early of this year. Endless problem with the UPB since day 1 I got. It turn on the TV as it like, suddenly at 12AM it turned by itself. It crashes so many times with white noise background, many times in a day. It lost it credential, many times in a week, I need to press replace device and select the same device it is replacing to get pass the problem. If the replace device screen appears, force stop the app, don't replace device, that way the box won't restart. |

It appears the playtv app works better over wifi than ethernet(vlan). I have complained about the app few times in this thread, couple days ago I had a thought, maybe the problems were caused by the vlan, so unplugged the cable, reboot
1; subtitles magically became bigger, prev the subs were narrow and difficult to read, now it's normal(ish). This is not optical illusion, I did test it. 2; the app feels less laggy, switching channel is slower, the spinning disk stays on longer, but navigation is def snappier. 3; catchup play back ends properly now, when the program is over, it'll switch to current program, previously it'd just crash. Last night I tried to crash it, I couldn't. I did things that'd usually crash it: switch channel too rapidly, pausing for too long, fast forward/rewind too aggressively, didn't crash. Very strange. BTW, it has only been 2/3 days so it's not conclusive yet so don't quote me on this. |

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Jun 23 2023, 01:17 PM) thanks senior, there's 2 version of the UPB right, believe the latest one has it? or the previous one has it? The current one, hybrid box. But I recently discovered that the Unifi tv app worked better with wifi than with vlan. Check my post here |
