All channels from Media Prima TV Networks (TV3, ntv7, 8TV, TV9) are now in HD on unifi TV.

I've checked 'em on unifi playTV app, and it's obviously in HD.

It’s finally here folks. Unifi Plus Box unveiling in 3 days.

I am guessing this new box is given to new subscribers.... and existing ones if they renew contract.

Question is how good or bad will the new offers be.... many YEP2017 contracts expiring or expired.

from the info so far i read, for existing customers....

1. u sign new contract 24 months x rm10 pm to get this new box... looks like u can use old+new, i.e. 2... max 1+3 = 4 for one account.
it is unclear if it means the additional boxes will run as STB to get 4k/hd channels or like other boxes using the app to get SD/poor hd quality...?

2. or "upgrade" to one of those new packages with 2 yr contract.
problem is there are many who are now paying rm189, 179, 169, 159... for 300, 500, 800mbps.
nobody will "upgrade" from 800 to 300mbps and pay more (RM199) just to get the new box!!

my conclusion - for existing customers who previously had free upgrades >300mbps and paying <rm199, this new box offer is meaningless.

perhaps just wait... later in the year, some other offers may come out..?

There are two more STBs... One that looks like the bottom one but has a LED screen instead of three LEDs and another one is the big old STB that doesn't run on Android.

Edit: looks like these two are the same thing in different casing and both not running Android

IIRC it's using 12V 1amp. If you have an unused router/access point/network stuffs, it should use the same barrel and power. Try pluggin that in

If it does not work, try buying unmodded 2nd hand white android unifitv box, and contact customer support to tell them you are using a new box

Looks like a previously leaked internal document about the Unifi hybrid box... But until today that hybrid box doesn't come into fruition.

I presume you never moved to the "newer" ( it's quite old already) white Huawei android box? That was also used for the direct 8mbps feed before Unifi introduced the black Android TV box
