Lucky you. I had to cancel my original Ultimate pack when I moved and my new house don't have Unifi. It was after I moved the 2nd time that I can re-subscribe, but that time already not cheap anymore. Nowadays still stuck with RM89 for 30Mbps + RM60 for Ultimate since when I subscribed, there was only Unifi through copper here. Thankfully have TIME Fibre a few years back, but had to keep paying RM89 just for Unifi TV :V

Did some more testing. Hmm... I was wrong. The box can stream Netflix, Disney in 4khdr. I used a wrong HDMI port at the receiver! All's v gud now. Picture quality is a tad better than using TV direct. And I get DD+ audio.

So, my verdict is the box isn't too bad, does what it is supposed to do pretty well. I m happy enough!

Seems unifitv came a long way from the days of that hipptv. Good for us.

I tucked away the 12 year old silver hypptv box for years.

I tested it yesterday, it still works!

I think the time has come for me to finally junk it.😄

what stopping me from upgrade to + or max is my current unifi 500Mbps + old ultimate, only cost RM99, been paying this price since October 2018 (gobind era)

i am afraid any changes to my unifitv will break my good price

end of the day, i dont watch tv that often... so i am still ok to remain with old ultimate

the new ultimate indeed is very good deal for those who need it, unifi should continue to remain promo price and disrupt asstro, more competition is good for consumer

yr package price is among the lowest, if not the lowest; the 500 broadband is practically free!

if u dun watch much tv, no point changing anything.

for a case like yours, if tv is impt, then even adding total rm40 to get all of it incl netflix 4k at rm139 is still very cheap!

He won't be getting that cheap internet price anymore if he changed his plan, that is his issue. His plan is grandfathered already.

goddamn, one might think tht 159 800mbps+ultimate that some of users here get is dirt cheap already, then this feller came with 500mbps+ultimate for not even 100rm, damn lucky u gais... tm oh tm

if u r changing total package with new router, they will send technician to do all.

in my case, no router involved, just tv pack change, they mail the UPB.

mind u, unifitv is straightforward but the VOD apps need a little attention.

takes a few days in total.

Mine is ultimate plus so only netflix basic... Using extra member on daughters netflix premium account for my mum TCL tv... May just use this netflix basic on her ipad

Well, Tonton is an OTT platform while Unifi TV is operated as a pay-TV provider. You know the rules - all Pay TV providers should monitor and ensure that their output content is complied to the censorship board.

Plus, Animax has adult-oriented titles like "Rent A Girlfriend"; therefore, they need that delay because they don't have that many staffs working in the censorship department. For your info, shortly after they launched Netflix on their platform, they're actually posting "digital flyers" stating that they're hiring people to the censorship job during the weekend. It gave away that facts that HBO will eventually come to Unifi TV, and it happened.

If you're really concerned about that, try to also comment on tvN Movies' 1h 10 min delay. The feed has already been a +1 feed, but Unifi TV insists to delay for another 10 min while Astro only does it with another 5 minutes.

Anyway, HBO (CH 401) has 4 min delay even the TV guide doesn't state that.

At this point, as long as Unifi TV is willing to provide the channels with affordable prices and additional features (like 7 days catch-up, 2 hours playback, multiple subtitles and language audio tracks and VOD services), I'm okay with that.

Plus, I'm hoping that they can launch more Indian channels in conjuction with Deepavali in November. Right now, there's only one Tamil GE channel, one Tamil movie channel, one Hindi movie channel, and one Tamil kids channel. We need a second Tamil GE channel and at least one Hindi GE channel. I've suggested this to the team via Messenger recently.

Also, I'm kinda curious what kind of Chinese GE channel will they actually bring in to the platform.

Does anyone have any issue accessing Unifi TV website? I either got "The provided host name is not valid for this server." or redirected to Unifi website with the "IT SEEMS THAT THE PAGE IS NOT FOUND OR DOES NOT EXIST. ERROR CODE: 404" message. The team said that it's working on their side. No idea what is going on.

Interestingly, I do think that the original owner of GEM/Animax/ONE (KC Global Media) has much stricter censorship than us. I was watching a show and they cut out all the LGBT scenes in it, even tho it was actually harmless. When I asked my Singaporean friend, it was cut out even from the Singapore broadcast, so I don't think they'd have any issues with censorship. And really, I do feel that the 10 minute delay is just an excuse for injecting Unifi's own adverts, rather than actually doing any censorship.

You mean the unifi PlayTV site? I can access https://playtv.unifi.com.my/EPG/WEBTV/index.html#/. Or do you mean another URL.
That being said, I have had issues with the site not updating their HTTPS cert before which leads to some streaming error.

I think tm is a lot more careful on censorship.

For chinese maybe they launch tvb. For indian i dont think they have in-house expert thats why still ao sucks.

Maybe they will bring more international like food network, history, lifetime, hits now those.
