Thank you for your response. what is the difference with the hybrid box vs the white box?

White box = purely android. Quite dated. Only useful for VLAN Unifi TV

Hybrid box = Newer one powered by Android TV. Hybrid because it can utilise VLAN 600 for Unifi TV, instead of using the Unifi TV app (which is slower). You can also install apps from the app store on this box.

Be reminded that only the white box will still have mosaic menu grid and pressing 3-digit channel numbers

On the hybrid box (UPB) it's all replaced with pressing up down left right to view channel categories (news, movies, kids, etc). So if you have seniors be well aware

so i just got off the phone with Unifi CS.. they said i have 2 options for replacement either renew 2 year contract or pay RM300 for the box.. If i use the white box that i have they will not send a technician over instead i need to call em to unbind the Account. any truth to it? so i just plug in the newer white box and call em and thye do the changes over there? anything on my side that i need to do?

Anyone use Samsung TV produced 2019 and below? Is Unifi TV app available? At this time I'm only use browser. Thankfully it work at this time but only if resolution is 1080p. If resolution below that the size will be smaller.

Just for info. Yesterday when I watched Unifi Sports, there was an ad stated that those who have unifi 300mbps will get disney hotstar for free.

can u use the built in browser to visit website that stream video? does it work?

out of sudden, my hypptv stb does not respond to the remote. the remote can still control my tv though.
is the receiver on the stb dead?

If that is the case, stb faulty.
Last time I changed the stb, have to sign a 1 year contract.

Because usually normal 300mbps comes with ultimate tv plan, in this case hotstar is no-added-cost bundle

But for some 300mbps with VAR pack need add on for rm16/month

The even rarer staywithunifi plan or loyalty plan (without tv plan) will need add on for normal price of 54.90/3 months
