I reorganize the channel replacements by tabling it according to its content genres. Information gained as of Sep 15, 2021:

Too bad even though Disney didn't plan to ceasing Nat Geo Wild & Nat Geo, unifi remove it anyway.

To me, this is like Unifi TV wants to totally cut ties with Disney/Fox, till the extent where not even one channel is spared

At least Unifi can afford Warner TV, even if not HBO

Based on what I know about licensing channels, it's more expensive to license just a few TV channels from a channel provider than multiple channels from the same provider. Also, the Unifi TV team may think most people will definitely install Disney+ Hotstar on UPB and stream Nat Geo titles there (including current titles on Nat Geo People), so why do they want to spend money on 4 channels if the viewership isn't really that high (compared to Astro). They don't even slot in commercial ads in them. They plan to move on, and that's a good thing. Sooner or later, Nat Geo Asia will have most new titles streaming on Disney+ first or exclusively before airing on the Nat Geo network.

The issue with this is that they can't even replace Nat Geo channels with a proper bouquet of learning channels like Discovery, History or Smithsonian Channel. And that really disappoints me. Also, Techstorm is not a learning channel at all. It's more like an E-sports + latest tech showcase kind of channel. It kind of reminds me of Blue Ant Extreme when they live-stream the E-sports events during the weekends' afternoons. I think it's an alternative to EGG Network.

Agreed. Most TV providers who have ceased HBO channels can't afford other WarnerMedia Asia channels like Warner TV and Cartoon Network. As I said before, there's probably some kind of offers if the TV provider carries all or most of the channels provided by the same content/channel provider. I learned that before (probably from some insiders online).

That's why Astro carries the rest of ViacomCBS and BBC channels because they're cheaper compared to have a new deal with Rock Entertainment Holdings and launch Rock Entertainment and Rock Extreme.

Unifi TV has a different story. They have Rock Entertainment, Rock Extreme, Love Nature and CinemaWorld (previously distributed by Blue Ant Media), while Astro only licenses some titles from Love Nature and Smithsonian Channel.

F1 is on Astro Arena 2, which I presume Astro will stream for free on Sooka similar to Arena 1

Well, SPOTV (Malaysia feed) will not broadcast EPL and some of the sporting events since Astro has acquired them. You may need to wait for their launch on Unifi TV before deciding to unsubscribe Astro Sports Pack.

Hi all, is there any workaround to run unifiTV app without unifi home account? Now I have Unifi air but not able to run this app since no account. This is too bad since I can view the free channel on my phone via Unifi playtv app

SPOTV; at least on Unifi TV platform, should not be getting to air EPL la coz Astro bought the rights. It is like what happened during the World Cup where RTM Sports will blank or air another program for certain matches as Astro runs all 64 matches

if for those who have Astro too, not really a winner coz Celestial n CCM are already there. I wouldn't mind to have SCM Legend and SCM but we all know Unifi sailang all Fox-related channels.
