You can also use old Unifi TV by using a WIFI connection, but the connection does not use VLAN600, instead sharing a regular internet network.
While the channel quality depends on the speed of the internet and WIFI.

if ur wifi router support VLan tag thru wifi also can.
ive tried using 'guest wifi' tag with 600. can stream, but it stutters, lag alot.. the white stb only support wifi 2.4 only if not mistaken..

I see. I also hve check my STB is EC2108E which is probably the one that does not came with wireless feature.

astro add more OTT. TVB everywhere free for Dynasty subscribers. BBC player and Discovery+.
i hope unifi can add more OTT for unifi tv subscriber.

There is setting inside the old box, all the while at that time I was on wireless linked to my modem router. There is LAN option as well, just don't want to pull the network cable, looked messy with it. But since I am already upgraded into HSBB, the box is now inactive.

It's great to have more OTT apps, but the downside is the endless 1-year contract.

Also, you can't compare the price between Astro and Unifi TV. Astro also has many ads and sponsors, and Unifi TV can't possibly compete with that.

Don't forget SCM Legend will be ceased too. It's too earlier to say the complete list of channels that they will launch in October. At least, the representative of Rewind Network was free to announce along with Unifi TV. Maybe other content/channel providers are busy at the moment. Just wait and see then.

Agree, but do you want a price hike though? Astro pays a lot to acquire the broadcasting rights of TVB channels. If I remember correctly, Astro paid TVB around 98 million ringgit per year for the two drama slots on Astro Wah Lai Toi last time (before it ceased and transitioned to VOD). If you ask me whether it's possible to have TVB channels on Unifi TV, I would say "yes", but the price of the Ruby Plus Pack may increase to at least RM 50 per month. It's not cheap you know.

The team has confirmed that they are working on bringing more channels and OTT apps to their platform. Only time and money will tell. Astro is rich as hell. I can't comment on that. I saw HITS channels ads on Blue Ant Entertainment last April. I thought Rewind Network paid for the ads slots on Blue Media channels because I know they're not sister channels.

For me agree RM50 for rubby pack if unifi tv add TVB channel. TVB have alot entertainment, drama, series. Rubby pack also can get sport channel on unifi tv.

Dang. You're lucky. I downloaded TVBAnywhere+ on UPB, and I subscribed to it for RM 39 per month. My aunt loves watching the older TVB sitcoms and some TVB variety shows. I love the facts that UPB supports TVBAnywhere+, HBO GO Asia and Disney+ Hotstar. Can ditch Astro already, but my family keeps it for the news and as an alternative source to watch something just in case if the Internet is down in the area.

i don't think 1 year contract. bcoz like's disney hotstar you need have movies pack. just add RM5 on ur astro bill.
