Hi guys i currently have hypptv old stb but recently bought new androidtv. I would like to use the playtv app on the new TV instead of the stb.

Unfortunately, it requires a username and password but different as the unifi? Im guessing i need to ring 100 for these credentials?

Just d/l the unifi app from playstore n the id n user name doesn't work, what did i miss out.tq

Make sure your internet plan comes with a TV Pack with UnifiTV/UnifiPlayTV ID (xxxx@iptv),
for the password, you can reset or request it through TM

Just figured it out without calling 100.

Username for unifi playtv is the same as your unifi fibre but instead of @unifi it is @iptv.
Meanwhile for the password, i can reset the password through the mobile playtv app.

Voila, now i can access Unifi playtv on my new Prism+ TV .

on a side note, the app on the prism+ TV is pretty neat compared on my mobile. However it is not perfect. One thing that is quite a bit turn off is that I could not find any option to favourite channel or quickly go to a channel , thus in order to change channel i need to browse through a selection of channels and click on the desired channel that i want to go. bit annoying

Breaking News!
Two new channels - HITS HD (CH 454) and HITS Movies HD (CH 407) will launch on both Unifi TV and Unifi PlayTV starting October 1st. However, both channels only have BM subtitles. I wonder whether they will bring in Chinese subtitles soon. 😅

I too just install unifi tv on my tv but seems a bit blur pq compare with std or did i miss something out

yea the playtv unifi app is a quite shit tbh. i'm not sure about live channels but on VOD, you can change video quality

They need add more chienese channel on Rubby pack plus. only 4 channel on rubby pack. i am ultimate pack.
i hope tm can add HBO group ( hbo, hits, signature and family).

The quality of Unifi TV app depends on the quality/speed of the internet itself compared to the old Unifi TV, which used a dedicated VLAN600

Im running on ethernet with consistent speed around ~70Mbps (using powerline adapter). Certain live channels is a bit blurry (although i can understand because my TV native is 4k) and some VOD is not automated to highest quality, i need to change it on my own. I can't find any settings to make it all channels to be defaulted to highest quality, is this even a thing?

10 channels under Disney will end on October 1st.
For now, Unifi TV can only bring 2 channels?

My internet speed is 500mbp n come package with unifi ultimate n @iptv. Anyway thanks bro i got my password from Telekom this morning n its working flawlessly but pq blurish even with HD channels compare with the standard std.

That's the disadvantage of the Unifi TV (OTT), compared to Unifi TV (IPTV VLAN600).

I'm guessing IPTV VLAN600 would require STB? correct me if im wrong.

Yes, and the VLAN600 connection must be via LAN instead of WIFI.

Yes, you can also request to TM to migrate to the old STB, if you still have.

How do you get it to be run wireless without using LAN?

My std is even older than yours,first batch from unifi n u have to pay to change to newer std
