My hypptv box just died. No lights. I suspect lightning strike. Do i get free replacement from TM? I'm under contract

How long are you with unifi?

If within 1 year yes

Otherwise I think they will restart your contract for a free replacement

I just renewed the contract a few months ago.. but the hypptv box has been for afew years now

Usually equipments other than the BTU / modem which is lifetime warranty (repair / replace at no charge or contract ext) the router and unifi tv STB are only given 1 year warranty

If want to be replaced free then they will recontract to 2 years

But to be assured as I am speaking out of general understanding, you may want to live chat or call 100 to ask, and appreciate your update once you've got the answer

Is yours the white color one? And may I know do you use or watch unifi tv very often? Just for my curiousity as I am also wondering how lasting the box is

Mine's the white one, yes. I watch on weekends mostly. If not, it's left on anyway.. Duration wise, I think this is my first renewal? So probably 2 years+
Yup just tried to live chat but they're offline now. Will update if they will replace for free or not..

They just came and replaced the adapter and the tvbox is still working. All done within 5 minutes. No charge. They actually thought the router was down and even brought a replacement over.

Wonder why TM equipments the adapter so fragile lol

Another member had the same issue, but was his BTU

It’s been a while since I last open UnifiTV on my Mecool KM3 tv box, everything works fine for the app. Audio and subtitles are there, but I have no visual of the video played.
It’s a blackscreen with just subtitled.
So, I uninstalled the modified version, and get the official version frkm Playstore. Login in fine as well, but still the same issue as above. Channel can be played with audio and subtitle, but no video.
Has anyone face this issue before? It seems rather weird to me, as I can see subtitles but not the video at all.

Maybe uninstall run CCleaner or SD Maid then install from Play Store again... Works well on KM3 KM9 boxes as well

Turns out that it was the HDMI cable issue. It's pretty weird though. I can watch netflix but not unifitv.
Either way, it was fixed! Thank you!

Is TM going to replace or just let it go silently, I guess the later looking at how TM has been passive on unifi iptv all this while.

what's the purpose of maintaining a sad state IPTV, which will be worse once Fox's channel gone. It's not Hip, its a Sad TV.
