How to run this new Play@Unifi app on a rooted Android TV box?

I am on RM89/month package... why TM did not provide me ID and Password to log into Playtv app for mobile use?

I understand should entitled for few free channels right? ie TV1, 2, 3, NTV7, ...?

basically they give you id and password unifi@play tv when they install unifi at ur house. before sign the agreement, they give you id and password. call 100 and press 1 for bahasa or press 2 for english. than press 4. give the ic number, and they can give you id and password unifi@ play tv only.

you need unifi@play tv rooted version for the rooted box.

if you subscription have unifi@play tv, you cant install on stb white calor. the white calor can used if ur subscription have unifi tv only.
you need android box for unifi@play tv. used airmouse for change the channel.

TM emailed me MYID@iptv for Playtv. Is that unifi@playtv?
I got it going with using mouse and the built in browser to download playtv apk from apkmonk, apkplz, then use CTRL+J to open download manager.
But all can't install the apk, it come out "There was a problem parsing the package"

I manage to install Google Play Store from apkmirror but the app can't start after install

It means that the app does not meet the minimal requirement.
Commonly error occurs when trying to install apk with higher minimum android version.
Many apps cannot be installed on white box due to its notoriously outdated Android 4.4

You mean the error for "There was a problem parsing the package" or app can't start?

TM can update the STB to support unifi playtv instead of it going to waste, since there's many streamyx user that upgraded to unifi.

that error, as already said, is due to the chipset in the white box, android4.4 won't work with he app.
it is too old, cannot be upgraded to higher android.
morever, unifi wud like u to pay for their new "black box" android9.

u can always get yrself a cheap box to do the app.
some are like rm1xx.

Android box the only thing I'm lacking. Got smart TV, got Win 10 as media player, now got fast enough internet to stream video.
Since my subscription come with playtv I thought why not utilized it.

Playtv now block streaming from website. Can use my phone to cast to tv but worry might damage the phone in long run.
Get a cheap android box just to occasionally use playtv feel like wasting money.

website, blocked... old box, cannot use... smart tv, incompatible... phone/cast, too much stress.

and that is why most people will just get a cheap box for that, if u want to use the app.

unifiplaytv isn't a bad app... very stable for news, local channels, old movies... alto not best quality.

but if u dun need, just forget it...

Why unifi TV without any add on package like Astro. If only subscribe Fox movie will cost me extra RM40 per month. But upgrade to ultimate only pay RM 30. Why I need pay so much and I never watch varnam and aneka plus.🤣

Well, even you pay the 30 ringgit for Ultimate Pack, it's still cheaper than Astro. 😅 Also, it's a way of maintaining their revenue since they don't offer commercial ads and the price of carrying FOX Movies is way expensive than what most people think.

Yup. It applies to all channels and they only recently slot in the MCO related ads from the gov in their channels. Most of the time they keep the original ads of the channels (that promote the programs on the channels) and rarely slot in their HyppFlicks+ ads. 😅
