how much each in blue tex? and which one to be apply 1st, soli ya, i m noob in car stuff  smile.gif

Soft99 Meta Clean liquid wax is RM 19.90 in Tesco, RM 19.99 in Giant, and <RM 25 in ACE Hardware and Eneos, don't remember exactly how much. I got mine for RM 19 at my car accessory shop tongue.gif The can is square, chrome coloured with a lid that has a sponge in it, but I recommend using Meguiar's applicator pads instead.
Meguiar's No. 16 pure wax is RM 74 in ACE Hardware Ikano. The can is round and blue coloured.
Meguiar's NXT Generation Spray Wax is RM 60 at Eneos, not sure how much is it in ACE Hardware or HomeFix.

A note though, the spray wax is pretty hard to buff off. Soft99 however, is a dream to buff off laugh.gif

Edit: All these are courtesy and credit of Pro Detailers- who recommended me the stuff and taught me how to properly use them smile.gif

Yes, some of the products are over hyped. I've only so far used the NXT Generation Spray Wax and ScratchX. The spray wax as I've mentioned is pretty hard to buff off, while ScratchX doesn't produce instant results (So don't get your hopes up too high- not many products do that, you just have to be diligent and determined).

Meguiar's applicator pads are good though, and from what I heard, their car washes and interior cleaners/detailers are too.

Just for comparison, the stuff that I use for DIY car maintanence/detailing:
- Kit Car Wash & Wax shampoo
- Kit UV Guard for interior (Lasts very long and very shiny effect)
- PermaGlass RainZ Dura (Aerosol type)
- PermaGlass Tyre Bumper & Trim Shine (Going to finish this up and get a new one, maybe TurtleWax Wet'n'Black since this one is not long-lasting and fades very fast)
- Meguiar's ScratchX (Used as 'base' before waxing and after washing and drying)
- Soft99 Meta Clean liquid wax (Highly recommended wax!)
- Meguiar's applicator pads (For applying ScratchX and wax)
- Microfibre cloths (For buffing and wiping)

nxt wax is combo, polish+wax, RM109, consider non abrasive, for meguiars, abrasive polish are scratch x and the deep crystal step 2 polish ...

trust me, it worth your money to buy meguiars wax and polish... icon_rolleyes.gif

may be u can try those steps, and not the nxt wax because separate polish and wax is much better result ...

1. wash
2. clay(with car shampoo to save budget)
3. deep crystal step 1 paint cleaner
4. deep crystal step 2 polish
5. deep crystal step 3 carnauba wax
6. quick detailer for weekly maintenance

some people love to have those polimer sealant as more protection ...

yes, is espensive...but you can use for 1-2 years except u detailing every month tongue.gif

polish only recommended every 5-6 months depend car paint condition.

no worry, as long as you wax back after polish, the car paint is alright ... somemore no people polish the car every month 1...

in kl, only ACE, ENEOS, parkson subang and 1u got sell meguiars ... or you buy in hypercoat usj.

if u hav low budget, go for turtle wax ... i use them a lot before i switch to meguiars ...

and turtle wax got cheap, moderate and espensive(platinum) class to suit consumer's budget tongue.gif

combo = polish+wax.... machine is machine.. abrasive = polish that ll hurt ur paint.. the chemical contains inside the polish ll remove some layer of paint to clean the dirt or to make ur paint like new.. not recommend to use often... Scratch X is a product of Meguiar's(branded and expensive car detailing product manufacturer)

so, polish is a product or job "polishing" ? bcos all the while i thought polish is refer to wax leh rclxub.gif

My car is White Metalic Paint. I saw there is random with small black dot or line (length = 2mm diameter = 0.5mm or 1mm), it is so hard to removed, some totally CANT to be remove, that mean i need product like Meguiar's ScratchX to remove the black dot, only apply for those black dot areas since you say is will HURT paint ??

After that, I need to use Soft99 Meta Clean liquid wax OR NXT Generation Spray to wax the whole car, right? Then do i need to wash car again?

Remaining doubts: please have counter-check with me:

1. Soft99 Meta Clean liquid wax OR NXT Generation Spray is SAME PURPOSE WAX, just low-end & high-end type different, right?

2. If i buy Meguiar's applicator pads , then i no need to buy Meguiar's ScratchX since Meguiar's applicator pads consist of ScratchX and wax, right?

3. Will above mentioned "products" suitable for White Metalic Paint car color? i mean to get the most effect. (Soft99 Meta Clean; NXT Generation Spray; Meguiar's applicator pads; Meguiar's ScratchX ...etc)

4. The Kit UV Guard how much? liquid or spray type? apply on where: dashboard or seat sofa?

5. I notice my car mirror very blur, i think is bcos i use used clothes (t-shirt washed car become dirty black- might have some oil-ture) to clean the mirror, yesterday i drive at night and raining, Holy shit, it is so hard to see....will my normal detergent (sabun) can remove the Oil-ture?

Summarize:
1. Wash car, dry car.
2. Apply Meguiar's ScratchX
3. Apply Soft99 Meta Clean liquid wax OR NXT Generation Spray
4. Dry car. Done

OR

1. Wash car, dry car.
2. Meguiar's applicator pads
3. Dry car. done

Correct me if o m wrong. Soli for so many noob question in detailing doh.gif

polish is a product that mean just now.. polish is not wax. Yes for those spot if u cant remove the dirt then u need to use those abrasive polish like Scratch X to remove it.. The polish ll remove a coat of paint along with the dirt.. So if u polish regularly or very often ur paint ll become thinner and thinner... After wax actually depends u can wash or dun wash is ok.. I normally wash only wax then leave it for a week or so only wash again. Yes i think most of these wax and polish product shd go well with metallic paint..

I think the Application pads are span...sponge.. u get me?
user posted image the pad is use to apply wax or polish when u do ur polishing or waxing job...

Ur car mirror use those window cleaner like klenex those for normal house glass cleaning product clean it first then... use clean cloth to wipe dun use those shirt to with ur car or window.. Those cloth ll cause swirl marks on ur car... recommended to use mirco-fibre cloth

Polish if there is unremovable dirt on car shd be practice a year twice unless ur car very very dirty. If u wax ur car every month those dirt can be remove easily unless for bird dropping... u must clean it as soon as possible if its bird dropping or fruit juice...

1. Soft99 Meta Clean liquid wax is THE wax to use if you are waxing your car. If you read my posts properly, I stated that NXT Generation Spray Wax is just a BOOSTER wax that can help enhance the wax (In this case, Soft99), and it's not so good because it's very hard to buff off.

2. ScratchX is a product designed to eliminate swirl marks and light scratches. Applicator pads are the sponges used for APPLYING products.

3. Yes, they are all suitable for any colour paints.

4. Kit UV Guard is liquid, and you can apply it to your whole interior- dashboard, side panels, etc. I have leather seats so I apply it to the seats as well.

5. You can either use a normal household windscreen cleaner or opt for car-specific windscreen cleaners such as from TurtleWax.

The steps that I take to maintain my car:
1. Wash car.
2. Dry car.
3. Apply ScratchX, buff off.
4. Apply Soft99 Meta Clean wax.
5. Wait 5-10 minutes.
6. Buff off.

You can opt to repeat steps 4-6 again, making it two layers of wax. I usually wax my car with Soft99 Meta Clean between 2 weeks to once a month. Not going to use the spray wax for now because so very hard to buff off tongue.gif I send my car to polish every 6 months.

These are essentially what you need to know about home detailing/basic car care and maintenance.

Yukaeshi, scratch x is a abrasive polish, so don't use too often and always wax the car after polish ... deep crystal step 3 carnauba 3 is a good wax nod.gif

jimlim007, u know what is plastisin? then u can imagine what is clay ?

Yeah, I always wax the car after applying the ScratchX laugh.gif As for it being abrasive, I don't use it too often. While I wax my car every 2 weeks to one month, I tend to use it every one or 2 months.

Buff in car care/maintanence terms basically means to rub/wipe off. Once you apply a layer of wax and leave it for about 5-10 minutes, you wipe if off, and that's called buffing.

Car clay is something like "plastisin".
