Pro Detailers in Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara is also good wink.gif Uses products not only from Meguiar's, but also Klasse, Auto Glym, Merzerna, Osren, Poorboys and Soft 99 Fusso Coat.

I'm personally a fan of Meguiar's, but I also use products from Kit, Turtle Wax and Perma Glass as well laugh.gif

Sometimes home washes scratches the car more than the professionals out there, unless you are using the high quality microfibres and terry towels. One thing is for sure, it's way too much effort to clean my car the way autospa does. Takes them 90 mins to clean the car and they dry the car 4 times over with 5th layer shine spray. Don't think I'd have the patience or time for that. While they are cleaning, at least I get to spend 90 mins online at Lowyat.net.  rclxms.gif

I wax every 4 weeks. The wax is never gone.

Manufactured Oct 2001. Car on the road since Feb 2003. Pic taken May 2007. 4 year old paint and 105,000km mileage (so it's not a weekend car). So am I crying? No. The reflection on the bonnet is as clear as the one on the windscreen.

Done some changes to scooby.. will take the pics again after my next detailing. It's way over due and I can't afford the 6 hours detailing time.

Wax is for protection and since I wax every 4 weeks, it does not really matter anymore. For wax test, simple, either use the eye to see or a more scientific method is to look at the water beads on the car after it rains. The beads should be around the size of 1-2 cm if the wax is still good since water does not stick to the surface of the wax. Anytime there are water spots bigger than 2 cm, it's time to wax again.

Both organic wax and synthetic sealant has their own pros and cons, depending on what kind of result that you would want to achieve.

Yeah, and it gave an amazing "wet-look" gloss to my dark-coloured car. Better than the others I had used in the past. Easy to apply. I do it every 4 weeks.

Actually you don't need "high-end" brands of waxes to do the job wink.gif

Soft99 Meta Clean is a very good, economical (Read: cheap!) cleaner wax that is highly suitable for DIY purposes. Beats Meguiar's cleaner waxes sweat.gif Recommended to apply a layer of pure wax on it for lasting effect though (Such as Meguiar's No. 16) or use booster wax (Such as Meguiar's NXT Generation Spray Wax, Turtle Wax brand spray waxes).
