but its main website www.rockstargames.com no problem

not for socialclub.rockstargames.com

anyone has same problem?

www.rockstargames.com + socialclub.rockstargames.com is both working

use Google DNS:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

It looks like some IP of TM is blocked by rockstar, yes social club only.

The way I fix it to just keep restarting my modem/router to get the IP that is not blocked by rockstar.

So if thats true, mean it might happen again someday later

problem is back, happened when i wa playing gta online

halfway pop alot savinf failed, unable to connect rockstar game services

find out i once again cannot access socialclub.rockstargames.com

tried reboot all btu router and changing ip still cannot fix

i got traceroute to tracing multiple urls, including social club, gamespot, any random

they all not accessible, but then sometime it back online, then goes packet loss again

after few hours, suddenly all recovered, without restart

must be TM side problem
but now problem solved, hope it doesnt happen again

And it is happening for me now, this problem doesn't seem to end , using Unifi 500mbps

Just test gta with ip starting with 115... Everything ok now, can login to social club

restart your router and change to other ip address. I am facing the same issue like you, I can access to socialclub with IP 175.x.x.x and 115.x.x.x but can't access with IP 60.x.x.x. Try to avoid 60.x.x.x if you want to play GTAV or RDR2.

Idk how to do that, besides, it's the home WiFi, if you mean hard reset, I've never done that and I don't want to ruin our home wifi

So I see I'm not the only one with that very specific problem. I've been locked out of even single player mode for over 3 month and everything from router restarts, manual Social Club reinstalls and DNS reconfiguration have only marginal effect.

And now I know why complaints about the issue are so hard to come by; apparently it's so specific to regional ISPs that it's not widely reported. Someone had to have flipped a switch that pretty much rendered whole ranges of IPs useless for GTA5, but it's so under-the-table that we can only guess how and why it happened. My guess is that it's yet another scattershot solution by Rockstar to curb cheaters.

So the only workaround is to keep resetting the router until we get an IP that works?

I must have the shittiest luck because I've probably restarted an excess of nearly 15 times and the best I got was on the 5th attempt when there was a momentary connection to the RSC website and a code verification window in the GTA5 launcher (which failed to accept my Steam code) before that IP is immediately blocked.

Fuck this connection and fuck this wretched game. The IP ranges must had been blacklisted as sources of scam/spam and Rockstar netcoding probably blocked all of them bit by bit. I have never seen any game with netcoding that poorly accounts for any of this.

What's even worse is that this is also locking me out of what is supposed to be offline-friendly single player. At this rate I'm starting to consider simply uninstalling this piece of shit game. It's been nothing more than a 80GB paperweight for the past 3 months.

I gave up and uninstalled. Better focus my time on other games, although this means we Unifi users will most likely not be able to play RDR2 on PC when it releases.

I just reinstalled my GTA on Sunday. Been having error issues since. This is a first in the 5 years I had GTA.

Tried using DNS 1.1.1.1, totally not working even I reboot my router and change from 60.x.x.x to 175.x.x.x
I change back to DNS 8.8.8.8 then everything solved. Probably you have no choice to change back your cloudflare DNS to google DNS.

Long time I did not play RDR2 since I complete the main story. I do not play the online mode. So I test it now to see whether is really can’t login to socialclub.


Yes, it cant login. So I restart my router to test again. Can login and play online after restart router.

Not playing any GTA games, but I just do some testing.
And it seem like it is Take Two blocking TM IP address, because the traceroute look fine for me.



So for compare, I go to this website https://tools.keycdn.com/traceroute for checking the traceroute on other side, sg.



So both reach the same final IP address that respond to traceroute, or TCP(port 80) traceroute.
But TM IP address unable to open that website, while SG one can.

I can conclude that someone is using TM network and performing something like DDOS or hacking? to the Take Two server, so they just block the IP range for safe?

Unless you want to say that, TM is not blocking ICMP or TCP, but just web browsing traffic to Take-Two Interactive server.

I can confirm some of the IPs are blocking access to social club, I restarted my router once and got an IP that's not blocked

i thought my gta got prob so i deleted it because i used to play with mods.
now even worse, i can't even go to socialclub to download the game lol.

TakeTwo is blocking some TM IP address. Maybe lots of TM users are hacking or exploiting stuffs?

Current workaround is to keep on restarting the internet connection so that you get the IP that is not blocked by TakeTwo.

Hey everyone, I may be late to the party here but I'm also having the same issue.

Funny enough, earlier this year I was living in a different apartment, it has unifi and the SocialClub service works just fine and I can play GTA 5 no problems. I moved to a different apartment much recently, although it's not far from my previous one, also has unifi. But it's when I've moved to this new place is where I'm having problems.
Sometimes I was able to log into SocialClub and my GTA 5 on PC, most of the time though, nothing.

Since I'm living in one of those college apartments, obviously the wifi isn't under my control, so I can't simply complain to TM about it. So the most I can do is use VPN, which pretty much renders GTA Online unplayable. (Most free VPN's are pretty limited on where you can connect to. I tried one of the VPN services, the trial period allows me to connect to Singapore which runs fine, but I no longer have that option after the trial ended.)

Today got blackout, so my internet ip changed

and once again socialclub.rockstargames.com is not accessible lol

I was able to access the site and log into the game when I run through mobile hotspot no problem(I'm using Celcom).
But obviously I'm not that stupid to waste my data just to play a game that I can't access through my apartment's wifi.

What about Maxis Fibre users? If I'm not mistaken, some Maxis Fibre lines will share the same fibre line with TM Unifi(Not sure if that has anything to do with the problem or not.)

I contact TM about this twice, and just now I was still on the same IP address I couldnt access socialclub, but it is accessible now....

It seems like some of the Time wifi ip addresses are also blocked as well. And I just spent 3 hours troubleshooting a problem that isn't there...

after changed like tons of ip address, finally got one pool pretty unique and rare

make sure u got the ip address that's from different pool such as x.x.x.254

if u get 60.52.121.57, or keep getting anything similar like 60.52.121.x , thats most likely from same pool 60.52.121.254 which is most likely the same wont work.

try to get different ip prefix and test out socialclub, and see if it works

The ultimate solution the TS there mention is to use VPN which obviously work and it might be violate terms of use Rockstar Games

Hello all created an acc just to help my fellow Malaysian GTA gamers out there. Unfortunately, firstly, I think this only works for TM Unifi users. Secondly this might not help some of you as it has helped me.
So after chatting with the TM live technician after diagnosing the problem by instructing me to download Ping Plotter from http://www.pingplotter.com/ to view the problem it was found out take two was indeed the source of blocking connection.
The DNS ( was set at Auto or all 0's) was causing the issue of me not being able to connect to social club. The technician then instructed me to login to my router thru my computer and to change the manual setting of my router's primary DNS and secondary DNS to that of which the technician instructed. It was changed to that of below:

Primary DNS : 1.9.1.9

Secondary DNS: 202.188.18.188

Note: this is apparently Unifi's DNS as they have told me.

After saving the settings it worked and could connect.

TLDR: login to TM Unifi router online find and change manual settings of primary DNS to 1.9.1.9 and secondary DNS to 202.188.18.188.

So yeah that's it. Hope it helps.

Another side note: this is with a TM router and using unifi. I am not sure if it will work for those using other types of ISP or other types of router's. Please contact your ISP if you this doesn't help as they can be helpful given enough data and prompting.

Did you change the DNS on your computer or directly into your router settings? If you changed the DNS on your computer it most probably will not work. It has to be done directly into the router settings via online.

rockstar wants us to automatic sign in to their social club. I disabled that function so whenever i wanna login to my socialclub i need to restart my router. Most of the gta 5 players has this issue too.

Thanks for sharing. After changing can login but the game crashes every time when going online. It's fine after restarting router. Will observed more to see if this really work

I have used VPN for a month just to play GTAV. Just use a VPN and you should be fine.

Of course Maxis can connect. IP range for Maxis is different from TM.

Last night I managed to get into with unifi.. W/O disconnecting or reconnect isp

ISP other than TM usually no problem

TM ip range mostly have this problem compare to other ISP

Anyway, try using cloud flare instead of Google dns. I changed mine in router n also put it on pc. And also I remove my ipv6
