The virtual GrabPay Card - which allows users to spend from the GrabPay wallet on a card - will be available in Singapore for application from today. It will be launched in the Philippines in the first quarter of next year, along with two other markets in Asean later in 2020, said Ooi Huey Tyng, managing director, GrabPay, in an interview with The Business Times.

It also comes with the feature of in-app lock card function that is PIN-protected, allowing users to instantly suspend payments for lost cards, which is relatively common these days mobile payment apps.
Users can apply for the physical numberless card after receiving their digital card. The physical card will be rolled out in batches. The digital GrabPay Card will be launched in the Philippines in Q1 2020, with other Southeast Asian countries to follow in the first half of next year.
The GrabPay Card is a culmination of Grab’s ongoing partnership with Mastercard, with this Grab will have access to all of the merchants worldwide that accepts Mastercard.
