exactly, i upgrade from iphone 5S to XS now.. my previous 5S speedtest came out at least 40 Mbps, but my XS came out 0.5 mbps...so dissapointed with XS to be honest..

Yes. Apparently Intel struck up a good deal with Apple in making them the sole providers for modems.

Intel is wat better than Qualcomm.
Intel signal is always strong than Qualcomm

For mine i felt 8 plus battery is better than xs max. The xs max battery life is about similar to my 6s plus usage. Drain quite fast , perhaps should go for xr soon ?

Own a Max u have to do with fast charge.
For XR not require fast charger, the battery damn Long lasting , I am a heavy user, still took me over 16 hours for daily.

I've been using my Max for almost a month now. I hardly have the need to charge it mid way. Not too heavy a user I suppose. Last 10 days analysis:

Average Screen On is 7 hours. Biggest drain comes from Waze at 17%, followed by Apollo at 12% and finally Safari at 11%.

For the past week, I've only resorted to a power bank once - even then I was pretty confident I could reach the end of the day (although doing so would leave my battery go below 20%).

I too use the McDodo cable with a 2.4A charger. Just charge it right before I go off to bed. A typical day will leave my battery at about 30-40% charge by 10 pm.

To those that have the battery die off very fast, what's your biggest drain?

mine is Chrome,WhatsApp. those 2 are the most battery crunching apps on my Xs Max
but i dont really put my phone in "fast drain" category as it still can last me the whole day. drive to office at 6am, balik at 5.30, still left plenty of juice (60-65%)

Maybe just about, I think. For me the 6S Plus was ok but not as good as the 6 Plus (maybe 1GB RAM is the key, hahaha)...

I usually charge my phone at 8pm at night till about 10pm, then switch it to low power mode and go to bed as my day starts at 5.45a.m. Usually when I get home at about 7pm or so I'd have about 50% left or less, depending on how heavy my usage is throughout the day. Of course if I'm traveling long distance and don't have to drive then my usage is higher coz I'll be fiddling with my phone throughout the journey, hahaha... But haven't had a situation whereby I've had to look for a power bank before the end of the day since the days of the iPhone 5 - and long may that continue

For me the main ones are Safari, WhatsApp and Mail...
