Hmm... When u disabled DNS relay it shows 4 DNS? Isn't you set the primary and optional then it should be using the one u set instead of auto which is tm DNS. When u disabled DNS relay, ur pc or phone should now show the primary and secondary DNS as what u configured in the router.
*
Yes, with disable DNS relay, and if you set your own DNS, it will normally show the 2 you set. I am not sure if that is because it is really only using the 2 you set, or because there is normally only space to show 2 DNS, ie primary / secondary or DNS1 / DNS2.

But using Windows command prompt to run

ipconfig /all

It shows this. Both Google and TM DNS.

DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
202.188.18.188
1.9.1.9

If you or anyone else has DIR-842 router, you can try it if you get same results.

Interesting. Im not using dir 842 but I think never saw more than 2lines of DNS before... Same for your phone? Maybe try a ipconfig renew command? Or maybe flushing it DNS?
*
Using a network info app on phone shows 2 only. Again, mostly all show 2 as it is set that way. Just wondering why the Windows command shows 4. Not sure if its only DIR-842 or other routers also same. Might be a Windows thing. Or some setting somewhere which I have not found.

The /release and /renew does not make a difference. /flushdns also makes no difference. Those only works on machines IP and DNS entries I think. Not the DNS server settings.

Its not really a problem. All working properly Just wondering why its like that.

It should be fine. Coz it should be in order. It will connect primary. If false then secondary, if false again then only 3rd and so on. Since the tm is on 3rd and 4th so it should be fine.

How about the ultimate solution - restart. Haha. Is it happening to all windows pc?
*
Already did restart etc. Only 1 PC to test. That's why was hoping someone else could also check on this. Anyway, its not really a problem. As SilentVampire says below, that's how it works I guess.

TM stock router have hardcoded DNS servers, so in other words, it will always have the two TM DNS servers.

So after few days, the sales team called and ask to defer the downgrade at least until end Dec 2018 because they say sayang the account is RM 189 100Mbps can get turbo to 800Mbps..
shall see and wait

edit: did confront them about 100Mbps -> 500Mbps for RM 189 but the team assured me my account is eligible for the 800Mbps one
*
What does your current RM189 package consist of, ie packs, STD20, contract etc. ?

Why not TM's 30Mbps for RM89 package? It's currently unlimited quota till year end and I have a feeling that'll be extended when the time comes.. Alternatively, try talking Maxis up, they might be willing to help somewhat offset the termination fee with some freebies, etc..
*
TM 30M Basic is RM79. Note that previously it was stated in the FAQ that its unlimited quota till end of the year, but now that point has been removed, so have to double check with them if its still valid. Also, previously there was supposed to be add-on quota next year, but that point has also been removed now.

While it is possible they will not implement quota next year, it is also likely they will keep to 60GB quota to get users to subscribe to the higher price package instead. Or they will offer an upgrade for RM10/20 to remove the quota, maybe a RM99 50M will be out by then.

Guys, those who got their Turbo, and your unifi is no longer under contract. Take a minute and check your account whether your contract has been refreshed for 24 months or not???

Can check it via your Unifi Dashboard, the 3 dots beside your account status, select "Request For Termination", press OK and the following page should display your account details.

I checked with TM before my turbo, my contract will be expire on Jan 2019. But just now I play around with that option, found out that my contract was refreshed without my consent.
*
Somehow I think this is a mistake on their side about the contract date calculation. I think it may be based on service date shown in customer portal dashboard screen instead of actual contract date in their system. You can ask customer service to check on your contract date again. If its still the same as you expected, then the termination page is wrong.

I did, and they confirm with me that my contract expire date remain the same in their system. I just never thought that the 1st CS can gave such explanation on my unifi dashboard details...  doh.gif

Actually my house ady got those "ahem" IPTV services which have around 300 channels, so do you think it is worth to tied down for 1 year contract for those channels offer by UnifiTV Ultimate? Not even a single time I use this service before, so not sure about their video quality? Are those channels all in FULL HD?
*
If you already have other TV channels and never used UnifiTV, I don't think you will miss anything from it now. Check Unifi website, have a look at what channels are offered on Ultimate pack. If its not what you will watch as you already have other channels, then there is no need to pay extra for Ultimate. Also, you could just add on Ultimate later on if yu really want.

and this is after reconfirming

so, what gives? lmao
*
As I posted earlier, I think the termination page is incorrect and based on service date instead of contract date. As customer service has confirmed with you that your contract is already over and not extended as shown on termination page. Another point is on the termination page, the UnifiTV does not show 12 months contract. I think it should do that if your package was renewed for 24 months.

still no news for VDSL users, pay for RM179 for just 50mbps. No announcement made at all.
*
Users have posted before that they got RM179 / 189 reduced to RM119 / 129 for 30M / 50M in high-rise as not eligible for turbo due to using copper lines. You can try that if you're in that situation.

My fiancé is currently paying rm189 for her 50mbps plan + std 20 (free Calls) + varnam pack.

She is unable to upgrade her plan as she lives in condo. Took her to Menara TM today and changed her plan to RM99 (50mbps+ STD20 free calls + varnam pack.  Order was processed at 1pm today and completed at 7pm today.

Also, manage to pressure TM to change all her equipments. TM log an order and informed that equipments will be changed within 72 hours with no further questions asked and contract refresh for 2 years.
*
Did you ask specifically for the RM99 50M or was it offered to you? Previously users posted that their RM189 50M in high-rise was reduced to RM129.

Was the service still under contract?

And most importantly, did you show your certificate of winning previous battle with TM...?? Just wondering what criteria made them give you RM99 50M as not all can get it.

I managed to get rm7.50 call usage refunded to me. Next mission: cucuk TM to gimme unlimited capacity deal below rm100 including taxes, i dont mind speed upgrade being taken back... heck i survived dial up, 5Mbps is enough for me. [Unifi basic is no go]. They are not a manufacturing company, to say xxx speed is no longer available would be digging their own graveyard.

Credits to mylinear.
*
Don't simply give me credit... I told you forget about RM7.50 small amount, but good you didn't listen and got it instead. They must be really trying to retain users.

If you're going to continue with them, I doubt you will get back prior to turbo 10M speed anymore. So try this. Focus on RM79 30M Basic. Ask about the quota implementation. Try to get that package without quota. That should be a fairly good deal. May get for RM89 to match Maxis. Also try for the RM99 50M. You have an advantage if you are no longer in contract.

Is it the same place for you to check turbo? I do not see any option to upgrade/request termination on my account status.

Not sure where it is if using mobile app. Try using PC browser. Its the drop down list "..." next to the package name and Activity status on the dashboar page.

Unless you are on a perpetual contract and cannot terminate...

Hahahaha honestly. I did nothing, I gave them my unifi account number and told them I got a special 800mbps plan from TM and I mentioned their special officer name who was dealing on my legal matter with mcmc and then I have my fiance’s Number and told them straight to the point. I need this 50mbps plan at rm99. To be honest this RM99 50mbps plan doesn’t come with free calls. I just told them I want everything to remain as per current plan and at the price of rm99. They just told me “ok sir” and took my fiance’s Ic and submit for proceessing. They told me the plan was not in their system and they told me within a hour they will get it approved and the order will be reflected in the system. I also stress that I need new btu, router and dect
As the current ones are old. They ask me if I’m ok to refresh my contract I said yes of course provided my equipments are all new. They said within72 hours TM will send their contractor to change all equipments at my fiancé’s residence. I told them thank you and I left.. that was all about it..
*
Thank you for the info. Its not you did nothing. You did something. This shows that you got special treatment due to your past dealing with them as you started off by scaring them...

This will probably not work for most users then. Unless we take you along to TMPoint...

Just checked. My ac won’t be turboed. So switching over to other telcos.

Latest latest news is :  I was told by non Unifi dealer today that we must give 1 month termination notice to TM even if our contract has expired. And to return modem to TM if wanted to terminate?  Is it true? Why some earlier posts here, I read just need go to portal ( pls advise where? ) and terminate without notice or giving back modem?

Sorry I don’t have time to go thru all 191 pages of earlier conversations again! I just need quick answers so that i know what to do.

Anyone can help? Thanks in advance!

What is your current package and price? In high-rise?

Last user to post about termination is in post #3732. Maybe you can reply to that to get more info.

The RM129 100M package should be:
RM129 internet - RM30 discount + RM30 UnifiTV = RM129

Guys, I'm currently having Ultimate pack with my Unifi account. Do you think it is possible that I downgrade it to Ruby and further reduce my month bill another RM30?

Assuming my Unifi is no longer under any contract...
*
Scroll down to the 2nd set of questions. Under the Getting To Know section, see #15.

https://unifi.com.my/lsds/assets/images/per...Q-Home-plan.pdf

Then ask customer service about it. Let us know.

Requested to so called downgrade my RYE 100mbps to current RM129, was told that if we terminate the line before the contract ends, we have to pay RM129 x “remaining month”.

WTH?! Then what’s the point to terminate.
*
You are switching package, not terminating. Don't say terminate to them because it is true if you terminate, there is penalty fee. From your customer portal, see what is listed under Change My Plan option.

Added:
See the drop down list by clicking the "..." next to the Active status and package name.

Btu is old Huawei, the connection speed to my mikrotik router only 100mbps.

Tested on wifi 5ghz and LAN, all same result. LAN to router is 1gbps, WiFi is ~300mbps
*
In your customer portal, there should be a Turbo Upgrade option. See what it shows there about changing BTU.

Portal didn't mention of change of btu.
*
I thought it would show it in the Turbo Status check section. If yours does not show it, then maybe that is why customer service says no need to change as they are also looking at the same info. Check your current BTU model then and see 1st post if it supports 1G speed. And as you say, maybe change the network cable from BTU to router as it may be limited to 100M speed.

The button should show "Check" and then you get another window with details. Yours shows "Submitted" which I guess means your request has been submitted already, either by you or by customer service. Follow up with customer service. You can check later on if this page changes.

What did you submit? Request for turbo upgrade? Or you request for BTU change after you got turbo?

Your submission must be under process. Or they have not updated the status in your customer portal.

I did check with customer service at TM Point when i walkin upgrade to 100Mbps (RM129) package, they say 600 mins free call
- only for all local fixed line or local mobile number.
- not for toll free number eg 1800, 1300 etc. this chargeable
- 600 mins call include TM line call to TM line
- after 600 mins, all chargeble except TM line to TM line (free)
*
The only part that I am not sure about the above is the 1-800 and 1-300 numbers. Unless it has changed, 1-300 numbers are local call rate. So it should fall under the 600 min nationwide local calls.

This is in the package advertisement.
600 min talk time to all mobile & fixed lines nationwide
Beyond 600 min, flat rate call at 10sen/min

This is the description.
Free 600min. Thereafter, 10sen / min call to all fixed line and mobile phone nationwide. Free calls to TM Fixed Lines nationwide.

If anyone has made 1-300 calls, they can just check their bill to see if it was charged. That's a better way to know for sure than to guess about it.
