Morning Sis,
Just 20 minutes ago, received Internet survey from Asnb.

One specific question was, if the fund paid only 4.50%,will you continue to hold asnb funds?...I reply OK, will hold.

When will you sell funds... I reply after 2025.

Hahaha, cannot imagine what's gonna happen to future dividends.

Hold for another year, if subsequent year dividend still low then cabut lo. 4.5% is lower than most of the mortgage loan

Not buy more to ensure the amount of dividend is able to sustain unker and untie panjang's luxurious lifestyle?

So is better to do it in bank branch. Alright stick to bank branch then. Hope ANSB upgrade their withdrawal part to allow withdraw online in MYASNB or use bank's online banking features in future. So that no waiting needed for withdrawal in bank branch.  laugh.gif

Malaysia is no different from most other countries... Advanced economies or otherwise. We have seen FD interest rates coming down. Our immediate southern neighbour is a classic case. In the past, they invest into properties, now deep trouble when gomen says Leasehold properties will go zero/minimum value. That's why sadly, they work till they die... As the savings fd rate is so low.

So, the same is happening to us here. Very little we can do at macro level.

Except keep healthy, so that you can continue working.

Keep abreast with new skills, so that you stay relevent in workforce.

Keep savings, so that you have some buffer if worst case scenario happens.

Keep professional contacts, so that you widen opportunity for better prospects.

Keep praying to your respective beliefs, as its a known fact to bring calm, positiveness n hope that all good things will come your way, while avoiding the negatives.

Lastly, economies happen in cycles. Bad times don't last forever. Maintain your asset allocations, don't put all the eggs in one basket.

Work your passive income, towards replacing 100% of last drawn salary. Free yourself from shackles of rat race n living on paycheck. Unker recurgitate what I read from experts.... Purely sharing.

Such financial institutions serve as a CSR, as many elderly people visit them to pass time. They come over, sit n wait, pass time, read free papers, chat with other customers.... Then go home n pass a day.

Humans are social animal,... Sadly, their family all working, spouse passed on, they just go n update account, ask wasiat every week, etc... Just to be in contact with people. Loneliness can kill.

I pray hope, such counters stay open... And not be totally replaced with kiosks. My 2 cents.

nonono. You were asking when will you ever sell off your ASMx. My response was, when they're converted to VP. ASN was once a Fixed Price like ASMx. It was converted to Variable Price some years back.

According to elder nexona, ASMx (2 of the 3 funds) won't be converted until Dec 2021. By then, if Security Commission allows further extension to remain as Fixed Price, then it'll be extended. So you have another 2+ years to sleep soundly bro. The other fund has a separate extension cycle. didn't bother which is which, since I expect everyone will start jumping here when a fund is converted into VP.
