my dad is redrawing his ASX and i would like to purchase his units, i know there is a Rm15 fees.

I just need to know that is this really possible ?

One obvious reason, Manufacturing moved to China. Only Manufacturing (before Robots & AI), you need VP, Director, Snr Mgr, Mgr, Sec Mgr,..... Operator. While Service Industry is very lean n mean.

That's why TunM wants another national car, being an OEM, JDM will allow better Profit Before Tax... Can feed more people. That's why in Malaysia, if you work as Logistics, Service Industry, your Ops margin is all single digit %. A good OEM margin can be 40-50%.

Someone mentioned 2 days ago, why the FAANG companies don't invest in Malaysia.... Hahaha, we don't have the available land, people, education, supporting technology n most important attitude. Mfg contributes to approx 30-40% of country's growth.

Malaysia will have chance with a China +1 strategy, if the big bosses wish to hedge their mfg... In view of long term China vs USA trade war. Trump can get impeached, but not remove as the House is Republican controlled. Why risk give presidency to a Democrat. Also, USA need approx 5 years (per published report) to develop 5G....the tech is there, but need time spent on reconfiguring their USA Defense n Encryption frequency for 5G. That's why US was happily complacent n sleeping on this tech front.

Last generation, like Unker was lucky... We has approx 25 years golden period of industrialization n mfg moved to Malaysia.... Before China woke up. We trained our 1st batch of China engineers in 1994, when they stayed 6 months in Penang.

Unfortunately, all this time, we took life easy... Hardly, any enterprising professionals moved to tech nor biz start up. All complacent to be millionaires thru MNCs. OK, don't mention abt Gomen.... Totally different story, in case I go jail for Sedition Act.

So, now if we don't attract reasonable FDI, likely, well be exporting citizens to other countries as hopefully white collar professionals,.... Not maids n janitors. Language syills again!!!! Go learn Mandarin & likely Russian.

Then, increase no# of units (reduce par value to say, 0.5x), flood market with 1-2x available units, for new investors to buy, but still maintain same fund capitalisation $.

Just want to know more info about the withdrawal part of ASX fund,

1)Do anyone choose to better withdraw it from ASNB branch or bank branch?

2)If withdraw from asnb branch, do they give you cash or cheque? I asked, they said cash but i didnt specific bigger amount to them. If big amount then just carry big amount out of branch will looks scary if you know what i mean.

3)I read from previous post like maximum withdrawal transaction amount is rm50k. So if want to withdraw more then will get many transaction receipt of rm50k, no choice right?

4)I suppose still need to fill withdrawal form in both asnb branch or bank branch?

Otc withdrawal from Penang asnb branch, max $10k cash.

Anything higher, go bank.... MBB will give you cash, cheque or just bank to your MBB account.

So is better to do it in bank branch. Alright stick to bank branch then. Hope ANSB upgrade their withdrawal part to allow withdraw online in MYASNB or use bank's online banking features in future. So that no waiting needed for withdrawal in bank branch.

I guess that they just want to be more cautious... too many scams nowadays. (especially on elder)
