Can TIME fix the routing to China Telecom?
Since last year getting unuseable performance from TIME - China Telecom
Even Cloudflare Zero Trust provide a better performance for China Telecom
Already tell CS many time regarding this routing issue , still not fix yet

Hi sifus, I just got time installed at my condo. Was given the Huawei OptiXstar HG8145X6 unit. Just wondering, does the unit have the capability to create a guest wifi network?

Nope, no play LOL or Dota. For NA region, it is basically too far away from Asia, fighting games' players here have no chance to play with NA region, the ping is too high until unplayable.

In certain situations, ping connecting to the same oversea player using Time or Unifi would show the same / similar, but most of the time, Time will show better ping. I guess it might be due to sometimes i connected to a better routing Unifi. Unifi slower response, i suspect might have something to do with packet lost.

P/S When i am playing online games, no matter using Unifi or Time, nobody will use the same line i use, to prevent any possibility of causing lags or increase the ping for my game. I want 100% as smoothest experience as possible.

The ping effect my accuracy with my weapon. Some how is not about ping i think is about packet lost also. Ip address also make the different

Guys, anyone know how much it cost to replace old BTU/ONT (huawei white color 1) from TIME ?



Cause mine kinda faulty, the power wire very lose, if accidentally ter touch the cable port, it wont turn on unless i keep twisting the head.

I was told IP = related to routing, difference set of IP binds to difference routing. If you get a good IP, meaning your routing is good, with faster ping, and lesser packet lost.

do you know which range are good ip?

HG8240H. I dont think its under warranty anymore, but then again i dont know whats the warranty duration. Been subscriber since 2016, but never renewed my contract.

I asked TIME in their FB chat, they said RM400 for the modem. Or renew my contract

Renew is better. With Rm400 can get very good modem if buy outside

You meant router is it ?

Currently im on DIR 882 and its perfectly working fine for my devices, can get around 500-600+ mbps on wifi 5ghz depending on which device i use.

renewing option, making me read some posts here about the router being offered by TIME for WIFI6 / HG8145X6. Kinda scared to renew to get a locked router from ISP/TIME.

Actually was gonna invest on new WIFI6 router myself but now that modem is acting weird.

I think the modem belong to TIME. They will replace fOC. Pls check again.

If performance wise is a major concern, invest a new WiFi6 router by yourself is a way better.

Yeah cause i have bad experience with ISP own routers which comes locked/missing some features. If i can save from replacing modem for 400, id definitely invest in new router myself.
Then probably gonna renew my contract finally, saw that philips air purifier promo for free if renew contract on selfcare.
